  1. Past hour
  2. Well he's just increased his chances of not being one of the 2 players cut from the final squad... (I'm sure the tackle was accidental) Jack really was a bit of an odd one. Maybe it really came down to lack of options. Connor Barron arguably deserved it more. However, we already have McGregor, Gilmour, Christie and McLean that can comfortably play CDM. Plus, McGinn, McTominay and Armstrong if push came to shove. I'm starting to think Jack was a sympathy inclusion for missing out on the last Euros.
  3. For the second time, the charges Trump has been found guilty of, all 34 of them, DO NOT, carry a mandatory prison sentence
  4. Unlike you, I don't fanboy after billionaires. This thread has been derailed somewhat due to you posting a lot of irrelevant nonsense. There are four facts that are indisputable. 1. Trump paid a porn star hush money to keep her story about having sex with Trump quiet, immediately before the 2016 election 2. Those payments exceeded the election campaign finance thresholds for New York state 3. Trump tried to hide those payments as "legal fees" - that's also illegal 4. We know facts 1.-3. because people from Trump's circle, including David Pecker and Hope Hicks, testified these facts under oath
  5. Today
  6. That's quite some logical leap. No one is advocating that, you just believe it the same way you think cat litter trays are in schools, cause for whatever reason you have a diminished ability to discern the quality of information you consume. Yet in your own head you drastically over-estimate that ability due to, once a decade ago , correctly predicting one seat in a general election. I'm sure you do hate the Tories, you have fellating billionaires and paranoia about "we're being replaced" in common with them though. Getting played like a fiddle and can't see it.
  7. I think he has such strong views on a wide range of subjects that it's always going to be hard for him to fit into one political party without having to compromise his views on one subject or other. For example, he didn't get selected as a candidate for the SNP because he wasn't prepared to fully support EU membership. That was a compromise too far for him. I don't think he is expecting to get elected, but it gives him a platform to air his views on the Palestine situation. If it had been a by election he might have had a chance but he is no George Galloway.
  8. Ok let’s jail our political opponents because they have a different political persuasion or stand for something we don’t believe in hmmm where have I seen that before,, btw I absolutely hate the tories
  9. By doing what exactly, disagreeing with what I see as a political stitch up?? The hypocrisy is staggering
  10. I think you answered all your own questions there, in one sentence.
  11. Still looking to swap this Hungary ticket for a Swiss one. Not looking to sell as will be able to do that after the Swiss game if we can't get a swap.
  12. Siegburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen This is where I'm staying how hard will it be to get to the stadium and then get back home after it thanks
  13. I think the new format is good for fans of the competing teams. Playing 8 different opponents offers a lot more variety. Time will tell how it works out in practice... As for the final, the old adage of scoring when on top came back to haunt Dortmund. Germany must have some squad if Hummels can't get picked!
  14. I'm staying here fir 4 nights is it quite easy to get to the city centre and the stadium on the day if the game . WhatSiegburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen kind of area is it I'm staying in thanks in advance
  15. Hi, We are based in Stuttgart for the qualifiers. Anyone else based there and any recommendations for places to go, things to do in and around there?
  16. However much you wish to bum up the MLS it is far from a great league in terms of world football. If it were it would have a far greater pull on players from across the globe - not just those that are geographically close to the States. I am amazed you cannot see that. If a product is strong enough it will attract the very best in any sport. Take cricket for example where the IPL in India lures players from across the globe not just those from Asia. The Big Bash in Australia does the same because it is lauded for its quality and attraction. Footballers playing in Europe (including the SPL) get the added test of playing in European club competitions (none of that in the MLS). We have several players from the EPL that play in positions that Gauld and Morgan do but are playing at a higher level and have impressed for Scotland. The fact they (Gauld and Morgan) play in the MLS though is irrelevant to them being discounted as there are patently better options ahead of them in our squad. It is not rocket science. Anyway seems pointless arguing as you do accept Clarke has made the right decision with regards to them. But point of note he evidently has not selected them not because of the league they play in as he did select Johnny Russell whilst he was in the MLS at the time.
  17. I get that some independence supporters don't think SNP are pro-independence enough, and will vote for Alba or other pro-indy candidates instead. And some indy-leaning people prioritise other issues over independence, fine. But I just don't buy the idea that SNP 'don't want independence'. That idea seems to be spun in certain quarters as an easy way of suppressing the SNP vote among independence-leaning voters, even in constituencies where there are no pro-indy alternatives. Clearly there are some who think SNP themselves are a 'roadblock to independence' or even are run by the British state. They may genuinely believe the best way forward for independence is an SNP collapse, either to be followed by SNP renewal/ resurrection, or replacement by another party such as Alba. But the difficult part is explaining how this would happen, over any credible foreseeable timescale. (Happy to hear the argument.) In fact I see there is an initiative that thinks voting for any pro-indy party is wasted, and advocates a mass movement of writing #EndTheUnion on your ballot paper, that would be the biggest story of the election. Is that going to happen? I see lots of posts on social media (not talking about here) of supposed independence supporters urging people not to vote SNP, using the excuse they are not pro indy. That's the easy part. The hard party is explaining how that would lead more quickly and certainly to independence. I don't see that hard part being argued convincingly or at all. Makes you wonder if they are really all independence supporters.
  18. Seems he was in the Liberals and Liberal Democrats, later SNP and now Alba and WPB, and has also stood as an independent.
  19. It’s being released tomorrow (3rd)
  20. New format is rubbish, will be hard to follow and clearly designed to have the biggest teams get through to the knockout stages with bits inbetween being seeded. They want more "meaningful" big games early on but if anything the competition has suffered for that. It used to be that a game like Man Utd v Barcelona was a big draw but they happen so often now nobody cares. Most people I know dont watch anymore apart from maybe the odd knockout game.
  21. Yeah I noticed that as well. How many political parties has Murray been a member of now? Is it 4 or 5? In his quest for election.
  22. We don't know what happened but Jack shouldn't be near the squad. Surplus to requirements at a poor Rangers yet makes it into a Scotland squad full of players largely playing at a higher level.
  23. I sincerely doubt Aberdeen have offered ryan jack terms.
