thewolf_1980
I had one of the best portions of haddock and chips that I have ever had while having an overnight stay in Oban with work last night. From speaking to a few folk today, it's quite common for fish and chips up there to be excellent. Go there!

"Over spill" is a phrase which has been used by many down to earth people for years, generations even. One place it's used widely is the bar trade. It's very likely that you have drunk pints of beer containing significant amounts of "over spill". Your pretentiousness in this thread is overtaken only by your pretensions to live in The Ferry. It certainly sounds like one . Give it a try instead of any other green veg. It looks like wee green twigs and is really salty. Goes really well with fish. Only tried it recently but now have it at least once a week.

How does a vegetable manage to be salty unless you add salt to it?

It grows near the coast - marshland etc, so picks up a mineral/salty taste from the salt water.
