Guest flumax
I think betterukstickitthanks dropped the ball by not having brown from day one involved, I think he's a much Better statesman and had he rammed strong parliament in United Kingdom, I could see the vote being massively favour in no. exile
Dimbleby finally asks him about difficulty of getting devo powers through parliament. He doesn't answer. Dimbleby asks again. Brown explains Barnett formula. Dimbleby presses him on unilateral writing of constitution (in the Daily Record)(!). In denial, maintaining it will be fair on everyone. Marky
Salmond absolutely hosed that. Have to say tho, for the first time ever on the BBC, I thought DD went much harder on Broon than he did Salmond. About feckin time.
Jonny
Aye, Broon was awful and Salmond dealt with it no problem. Today's erratic gloom has lifted...
Tartan Eagle
Aye, Broon was awful and Salmond dealt with it no problem. Today's erratic gloom has lifted... Completely agree - in fact Salmond was totally relaxed and in full control. Brown was floundering and, as we all know, lying in the most bare-faced way about the months these proposals have been in the making. Aye right - that's why these proposals "about which we have thought long and hard" are not written down anywhere at all, other than in a graphic designer's scroll on the front cover a cheap red top newspaper. Come on!!

exile
Interesting Newsnight tonight, the visiting presenters seem to be getting into the vibe of things Allegra Stratton picks up the vibe of Yes on the street Alistair Campbell a bit of a half hearted defence of No, swept aside by Jeane Freeman (here in another context http://www.veooz.com/videos/eHT9ZCD.html ) Simon Schama in good humoured exchanges with Neil Ascherson David Mundell making some dull points about scottish conservatives... Lady from Spectator... and guy from Sunday Herald... ...more interesting than listening to the same old politicians

fringo
Jean Freeman Cheers. I must confess my ignorance and don't know her. She does have a soor puss though. Newsnight has been decent tonight though (and possibly more often so than some other BBC programs).
exile
So nice to watch an interview where the interviewer was relaxed, respectful and patient, to both sides.

Would be good to see her up against bigger fish. (also presumably would take a dim view of comrades distracting the troops with remarks about appearance!) Scunnered
Cheers. I must confess my ignorance and don't know her. She does have a soor puss though. Newsnight has been decent tonight though (and possibly more often so than some other BBC programs). She's very very good! Tonight was probably the least impressive I've seen her, but that was more due to Campbell being allowed to shout over her. He's such a dick!
