Jacques Hunt
Nice of STV to give us an early opportunity to assess two of our WC qualifying group opponents tonight. Apparently Screwfix are proud sponsors of ITVs coverage of England football matches.

JECK
It's great isn't it?Just one of the many things wrong with football in this country. The arrogance is astonishing.
Jacques Hunt
My brother in law struggled to find somewhere to watch Scotland last night so resorted to Radio Scotland. But, as a citizen of Scotland he can switch on tonight and watch two foreign countries playing live.
Bennyal
Makes strachans job easier, chance to scout the teams. Conclusions, England are miles ahead and will win the group, Lithuania are sh1te but we will drop points to them on that 3G surface they have
Jacques Hunt
We'll see- don't forget that we are currently joint top of the group.

Jacques Hunt
That's encouraging. Mebbe their coaches will have seen us in Georgia and judge us on that alone.

girvanTA
True but I would say Georgia are better than Luxembourg and San Marino. Slovakia were 3 up and now its 3-2. Slovenia are 2 up but San Marino have had chances to score
Charlie Endell
I never watch anything on STV as I know it's guaranteed to be shite, so I can't really complain they're showing the England game - I'm safe in the knowledge it isn't replacing some televisual feast (it is a pretty shocking state of affairs all the same). Jacques Hunt
Thought twice about stating this but Lithuania are very poor on this showing

Slovenia are 2 up but San Marino have had chances to score Watched the Slovenia game. 0-0 at halftime and San Marino had 3 great chances. They laboured to a 2-0 win with their only 2 meaningful efforts on goal. famous last words but we have nothing to fear from the Slovenians. flynnyboy
Slovakia had already qualified though. They're reasonably solid team, probably on a par or better than Poland. They hadn't. They had to match ukraine's result tonight. They have been in free fall recently. Nothing to fear from them in the slightest.
Bzzzz
The england game was live on STV, now we have the highlights on STV.. wtf? Yet another reason why the SFA can gtf. What kind of a country/ country's football association doesn't even show it's own games on its own channels. johnfaeargyll
Lithuania were absolutely terrible in that match. If we can't beat them we should pack it in. England was not much better and played out a boring game but we have to keep an eye on young Barkley he has played well in last two games. flynnyboy
You are right mate, my mistake. Actually no, I was right! they were level on points going into Monday's games. So Slovakia did have to match ukraine's result.
Highland Toffee Trafficker
I watched the Malta v Croatia match just to get a look at our group rivals and tbh Malta played quite well in the 2nd half; Croatia only won 1-0.
