  1. Thought I’d get negatives but hey, I tried at my age these songs are modern!!!
  2. I realise how i can be ridiculed with this and how I am putting myself open to all sorts but thought about this for this campaign given last two games. to tune of Robbie Willyumms’ Millennium: he scored two against Cyprus and Spain and he’s gonnae do it again McTominay, ay, ay feel free to ridicule
  3. Hi are these tickets still available? If so I’ll have them meet you in Dublin?
  4. Looking for 2 tickets pref Scotland section Flying on 8.05 Birmingham to Dublin so will be in Dublin Temple Bar area around 10 or 11
  5. Gibraltar doing very well in league D group 2. i would have predicted them for wooden spoon before ball was kicked in group with Liechtenstein and San Marino.
  6. Totally agree with Taylor1996. Love Scott McTominay for all the reasons stated.
  7. I was initially critical of Clarke‘s use of McTominay in back 3 believing it was a waste of his talent and he still has a good bit to learn as a defender. However, he brings height and most of all his superb passes get the ball quickly out of defence and up to Dykes who holds it up really well so I think the back 3 is here to stay. Gallagher has to start and we have Cooper, McKenna and yes, Considine too as options. tierney has done nothing wrong at back but I worry about his lack of stature when defending high balls. Nevertheless, SC has managed to get KT and Robbo in same team so fair play. Clarke has also said he wants us to be able to play more than one way so I think we will perhaps see different formation against different strength of opposition. We have the players to do that with our strength in midfield players. Christie has to start for me as he ids such a threat. I really like Fraser and Griff but they both appear to have chronic fitness issues. Armstrong is another really good player and Fleck will be in squad too and I also like him. Very healthy to have all these options. he has shown little but I would persevere with McBurnie as back up toDykes. Remember Griff desperately needing a goal then getting it ? This is just my gut though but I hope the lad gets our support as part of a very decent squad. very happy.
  8. For us Fifers it‘ll need tae be: Ya hooer sir, I can boogie....
  9. It was Christie interview that had me greetin
  10. Not posted for ages and obviously deliriously happy. Your post struck a chord with me though. The bit about the bevvy. i used to love a swallay and the craic that goes with it. I last had a bevvy in Bordeaux on 16thJune 1998. the day we last scored in the finals of a major tourney. By f**k, I was blitzed!! After deciding to go t- total one of my concerns was being sober at Scotland games!! I probably chose the hardest 22 years to put this to the test but, believe me, I still sing my head off and I actually think now I enjoy it better. Regardless of all this, these lads have done it and I love them all. Love Scotland and genuinely believe we will get wins in finals next year. Bring it on. So happy and happy I can remember last night. Unlike World Cup 1998!!
  11. Help! How do I order shirt online and get my discount? Do I need a code?
  12. Struggling to understand McGregor criticism. IMHO one of our most important players who played very well. Also thought Jack has played very well and would definitely not change for Mulgrew. McTominay maybe. Got to be Palmer at RB with O'Donnell in reserve.
  13. Here’s hoping! Feeling better now! Roll on Nations League semi. 👍🏼
  14. Agree and remain convinced we need to install belief somehow. Perhaps if we win tomorrow by a few goals it will help. Or mental coaching? I remember when Arnstrong really hit Form with Celtic and WGS played spine of Celtic team who were winning at home and in Europe and therefore with belief and we did pretty well; certainly much better than currently.
  15. Are you any good in central defence? Take yer boots.
  16. Don’t know how old you are TP but, if I am honest, Scotland have been so frustratingly disappointing for a long, long time. I am 60 and have seen them in 3 WC final Tournies and 2 ECs. I remember actually crying in Malaga in 82 at that Russia game. Ofcourse we would all grab that level of achievement with both hands now but we qualified with fewer teams in groups. Hampden was much more of a fortress but it is almost like there is something in our DNA. Daft but look at how women went out of World Cup, Rugby WC 4 Years agp and even now we may go out due to weather! Looking further ahead, I believe that, if we do qualify for a tournament, I hope squad don’t think, ‚That’ll do then‘ It bothered me when we got to Nations League semi and we all applauded team after we beat Israel. Like we could relax and not give proper qualifiers enough as we had a fall back. A lot of it is self belief IMHO and we have very little just now. So why am I blaming SFA I ask myself. Just so damn frustrating- and always has been. Used to be beat England and all was well. We have continually underachieved.
  17. No. Wider argument going back decades.
  18. Marshall Palmer Devlin Gallagher Robertson McTominay Christie McGinn Russell Shankland Fraser 3-0 (to Scotland)
  19. Good point but Team still needs our support. Not sure even more empty stadia will change things. Country needs to put national team as highest priority. SPFL have too much clout. Wish I had some.
  20. I know there are many who will not agree but we, the fans MUST stay behind the team. Turn up and support them. Yes, regardless. Otherwise we are another negative in this very negative picture. The players look totally demoralised and need us behind them. Not their fault SFA is a shambles.
  21. Agree. Our national team has to be highest priority and this starts with SFA.
