ProudScot
Agree 100%, the 6_0 reversal at the Amsterdam Arena still haunts me. They will overtake Czech Rep with Iceland to win the group
TartanDave
Danny Blind just taken over as Dutch manager, from simulations I've done of their group on this website http://ultra.zone/UEFA-EURO-2016-qualifying#group=d(Jump to group A). I think they may squeeze into second knocking czech republic down, tough group that one when you look at it. Rivalling ours as the toughest I'd say, although Turkey don't seem to have turned up. Mazziessc
Yes it would appear holland v czech last game could and should be the game the dutch take second. not that im planning on us having a play off game let alone v holland. in regards to odds Im seriously tempted on a 4 fold of sco to beat geo, ger to beat pol, sco to beat pol and sco to beat gib. Even if we did lose to ger and poland won other two games we'd still beat them to second with better h2h, pols would also get best 3rd place. They will overtake Czech Rep with Iceland to win the group
tartanpar
They will overtake Czech Rep with Iceland to win the group It is a big ask for the Netherlands to win the group. Iceland ate 5 points clear of them and Iceland still have Kazakhstan and Latvia to play at home. I think Iceland might hold on to top spot. Green_Tide_Rising
Didn't he already spend that to get O'Neill and Keane? nah that was down to independent Finance and Business Guru and football fan Denis O Brien - who funded a very large percentage of MON and Keane's wages O'Brien was the main reason we cud afford Trappatoni also

Iceland like are where they are due to the fact that they are a good team and believe in their manager and each other If my lot ended up in the playoffs ...I'd prefer to play the czechs

tjm007
I would take anyone but Holland from the play offs They will have a new coach, have games against the 2 teams above them at home yet to come - can't see them finishing lower than 2nd. Which might put he Czechs into 2nd..
tjm007
Looking at the fixtures in our group the ROI should get 6/6 pts in September - leaving them on 15 pts with Poland and Germany to play. They really aren't out of it for 3rd or 2nd.

Could quite easily have us going into the last 2 games in 4th place. Poland game really is massive.

Absolutely not out of it - as you say we shud get 6/6 against georgia and Gib: BUT............. On our current form - I just cant see us doing a job on Germany /Poland in the last 2 games Would love to think we have something special in Us to do something against Germany in our final home game in a Packed Lansdowne Road - but recent performances dont suggest that

Its getting exciting. Realistically can't see Germany dropping any more points.Group winners Ireland 6 points maybe nick a draw v Poland but nothing better than 4th. Biggest game is sco v pol a draw enough for them to fin second. We will prob be going into it 4th. Win for us and 2nd is ours on h2h basis over them. EIFA10
CAS have reversed Uefa's decision to award Serbia a 3-0 win over Albania, after their abandoned match. That puts Albania on 10 points after only 4 games, joint 2nd with Denmark. I haven't had a good look at it and a long way to go, but could have a bearing on the best 3rd place position. Robroysboy
but we are getting 2nd Seconded. Win in tiblisi, that sets us up for a real go at second. If poland get beat by germany, which is likely. A win in tiblisi combined with a win against germany or poland at home would give us 2nd if not first. The last game against gibraltar is a gimme. Germamys last game is away to ireland, can they return a favour in return from gary mckay goal beating bulgaria. All ifs and buts. Tiblisi is key.
