Lobour stronghold down here, got my SNP posters ready for the window and can't wait for the doorknockers to start giving me the speal about braking up the union shite.

When i give them my opinion they will soon leave the dooorstep the bullying lying westminster s.

Good luck to you boys over the border i hope to fcuk the SNP win every seat they go for :ok: .

I mind when I worked in your manor (circa '93), the good Scouse folk were always complimentary towards the SNP. The ones I cut about with always said "make sure you take us!".

I'm in Sheffield Hallam which is going to be a hell of a battle with the possibility of Clegg losing his seat.

Latest polls show Labour ahead on 30% with the Lib Dems 27% & the Tories on 19%

This is a massive turn round from the 2010 election when Lib Dems received 53% of the vote.

I'll be working on the elections as a Polling Station Inspector & on the Counts & Postal Votes so obviously cannot divulge that I'll be voting English Democrat oops :D

Joking joking.

Labour are projected to retain all the other seats in Sheffield with the Hallam constituency too close to call.

I live in Greystones & judging by the posters & boards around the area, the Labour candidate has got about 85% of visible support.

Clegg losing his seat :-)) that will be up with the night when Portillo stood on the platform with his smug grin after losing his seat.CARLSBERG :ok:

Cheers Eddie .You put many of my so called countrymen to shame .

Whatever they tried to do to your city not least Thatchers racist purification scheme to abandon it, they couldn't kill your Scouse fighting spirit .When the greed ,hate and lies finally reduce Westminster to ruins Liverpools day will come again. There will always be a warm welcome for you and yours in our independent country. And if you ever want to establish the free state of Scouseland you get my vote hands down :ok:

I live just outside Coventry (yeah, lucky me)

Strong Labour majority here - but I've just sent off my postal vote for TUSC

It was a bit of a toss up between them and the greens. Couldn't bring myself to vote Labour (though with postal votes, who knows!)

I'm in Colne Valley (the Yorkshire one not the Essex one), a rare 3-way marginal currently held by the Tories. I'll own up at my peril on here to having been a member of the Labour Party since I was 16, I met my wife through party membership, both my kids are party members & I have a couple of family members who are either candidates or elected party reps, so naturally UKIP for me.

Don't worry Huddersfield, most of us don't mind your Yorkshire Labour :ok:.

It's these bloody crooks that run the Labour Party in Glasgow and Lanarkshire that many of us have a serious problem with .

Just out of interest how does the concept of a Yorkshire Assembly, a North East Assembly or indeed an English Parliament sit with you ?

Thank you! Although like most LP members I have reservations about most leaders we've ever had I feel fiercely proud of the Labour and Trade Union movement and what it has represented down the years.

As for the assembly question, I'm broadly supportive of a regional one for either Yorks. or the North/North East generally. I'm dead against an English Parliament though. Unfortunately I think a lot of people are swayed by the English votes for England but in my mind the real losers of that would be the North as it would be very dominated by the South East (& therefore as likely as not the Tories). The economic needs of the North are very different & I'd worry they'd just get overlooked.

Nae danger Huddersfield. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next few years with regards to a Yorkshire or Northern Assembly.

Took a look at Colne Valley's 2010 result. Tory's won with 20,440, Libs second with 15,603, Labour third on 14,589. A small Ashcroft poll from February has it down as being a narrow Labour victory in a couple of weeks time.

One for everyone down in England, just how strong are UKIP in all of your patches ?

It would be good to see Colne Valley go Labour again. It has been for most of it's history but has been held by all 3 main parties at one time or another. It was also Victor Grayson's seat in 1907, still Parliament's only MP elected under the title of Socialist.

UKIP are not a massive threat around here but you never quite know how many or who they might take votes off. The Colne Valley UKIP candidate is something of an *interesting* character!

North Somerset, I have the pleasure of having Liam Fox as my MP and don't think that is likely to change. Not sure which way to vote, but it certainly won't be voting for Liam.

Met that rocket when he was Defence Minister and visited RAF Lossiemouth. Didn't have a scooby about issues regarding barrack blocks, married quarters, short-staffing etc and was only interested in getting to the bar in the Mess. Dick of a man.

I can't get passed the fact that for 28 years my taxes helped my MP to have £15,000 of tree surgery done (this is £15k that we know of) and further expenses to keep his swimming pool clean. All this for his family home, never mind his 2nd home in London - 35 1st Class minutes away by train.

I can't NOT vote for him ever again as he's now standing down after years of pocling on a major scale though if you were to ask him, I'd bet a penny to a pinch of sh1t that he would think it was just sweetie money.

So who to vote for? Probably Green

I've had a leaflet, but Sheffield Central is not a seat they're going to have any impact in. Still hoping they'll come to my door, although given how multicultural the area is, it's probably unlikely!

They'll be concentrating their efforts in South Yorkshire on Rotherham, trying to capitalise on the child abuse scandal.

I'm not really sure about UKIP here (North Tyneside) as immigration isn't really an issue so I couldn't really see them getting more than a couple of thousand votes maximum. I've had a leaflet through from them which is more than I've had from the Conservatives and Liberal Democrat! Not as much as the National Front though, who've put a leaflet through the door in each of the last 3 days!

Stoke North, Central and South are all Labour strong holds with between 5,000 and 3,000 majorities last time. Listening to mates down there though wouldn’t be surprised if UKIP got a decent chunk of the vote resulting in the Tories getting one of the seats as immigration is high on their agenda down there. In my opinion a lot of it stems from ignorance and extraordinarily thinly vailed racism so Nige is bound to hoover up a few votes in there.

One of my mates summed up his choices as ‘Tory, Tory Extra, Tory Bitches, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Tory or Green’ so there is definitely apathy that could lead to them getting votes too.

Tories also seem to be playing a blinder regards the SNP as they’ll win votes from Labour out of that going from my Facebook. Better Together/ Love Bomb my shiny ring piece from some of the stuff I see posted.

Hunchy, Most probably more to do with the inter-breeding in that area.

Lol well it is the edge of the fens. I can kind of understand why ukip are getting stronger here. You can walk down Peterborough high street and struggle to hear a British accent at times. There does seem to be a big influx here. Not saying its bad or anything just showing why ukip are getting stronger. Maybe if ukip blamed the immigration policies and not the immigrants themselves they might start to get taken more seriously

Just had a look at my constituency in the polls.

Looks like it's heading Tory, bizarrely their share of the vote dropping from 41% to 39%.

It's the absolute destruction of the Lib Dem vote causing it, with it looking like that vote getting shared equally between Labour, Greens and UKIP!

Had a look at other seats that the Lib Dems are predicted to lose and it's the same. Seems a strange way for liberals to react, when their actions are helping the Tories get back into power.

I came to Peterborough to collect my passport 2 years ago and had to pass some time, so had a walk around and know exactly what you mean about the different accents.

I thought it ironic that the passport office was there and no British people around, maybe they all got a passport and fecked off !!!!

Trouble is when you say that to folk who haven't been they think you are exaggerating and don't take you seriously.
