We can all be proud of ourselves today.We have spoken as a country at last.Project fear part 2 is dead.Scotland is a better place this morning and has moved another step forward into taking its rightful place in the world .Our fellow countrymen and women from all backgrounds and beliefs are beginning to understand the need for the powers that ordinary countries take for granted ,whether left right or centre Personal big thanks to all from me who have posted the articles, documents and web links containing the vital information we needed to see through the barefaced lies and increasingly bitter vitriol of the Westminster propaganda machine.I can assure you i have passed these on to good effect..Also to the intelligent opinion of the many who have debated and have made others see the wood from the trees on many occasions. We are however still ruled in our country by a political entity who is the third largest party with only 14% of the vote.Not even the most hardened extremist can say that that is in any form a democracy.But our voices are getting louder in the heart of their government, and this can only lead us to the natural progression of independence . This was far more than a football message board.To the TAMB i salute you .The lion will roar even louder. SCOTLAND FOR EVER

Several of the above . Italy 2007 was when i realised the wee nations were not playing on a level field any more. Morocco 1998 .Utterly gutted with the teams performance .Lost a lot of respect for Scotland that day.Have never expected much since .The occasion tends to be more enjoyable than the sport now Costa Rica .1990.It was not just the performance that was terrible but the march to the stadium attracted 200,000 Italians who came out of offices ,factories shops and bars to roar us on.The noise in the road tunnel with the tartan army at full volume and every car horn blaring was earsplitting Just walked on air the entire way.From that high to the severe low a few hours later really depressing.No one said a word back to the piazzas or the stations.Italians were so emotionally embarrassed for us it just made it worse.The worst ever.

Don't know where your getting your information here .Named Person function stands as described in Part 4 of The Children and Young People Act Lord Pentland refused the petition for judicial review .The Lord Advocate moved for petition to be refused that it disclosed no valid legal grounds.Lord Pentland concluded that the petitioners case failed on all points.There is no case to answer and unnecessary to make reference to the European Court of Justice. So basically as i said the bill is not being contested by any political party or any group or any individual in Scotland because it puts into law what is already here.If you read the previous post by Alibi you could have saved some keyboard time.It is yesterdays news anyway . I have shown the 3 individuals concerned the factual evidence and they have concluded that they were worried about nothing. All are now once again voting for the SNP. No one else has mentioned this to me when campaigning including opponents from other political parties .The local MSP confirmed this also.So it was just a co-incidence i came across it Looks like it might have been a brief scare tactic by the usual anti-Scottish government extremists of PROJECT FEAR. if you are still frightened by named persons you must have your personal reasons fine.You can look at the facts and ignore them if you want .But your wasting my posting time .

Every Child Matters received Royal Ascent on 8th November 2004 .See Childrens Act 2004.We had are own consultation in Highland Pathway.Our own Named Persons Act is simply a legal underpinning of what we already have in place and has been in place for decades .The Act recognises the need for improved communication by the relevant parties to prevent the death of abused children.it also sets up the legal framework for a more powerful and quicker response to families who have removed at risk children from the social environment. Following cross party agreement and endorsement in law in England , the Scottish government will follow suit.There is nothing to worry about.It is a good law which is there to help vulnerable children.I hope this clarifies this for you

Guy who represents an anti-Royalty group just appeared on the BBC(i take it back).30,000 members and growing. Some good points Offensive to other children born today.Ignoring of reporting more relevant news .Interviewing only people who are outside hospital or Royal properties .No representation of views of 50% of the population etc.Condescending( and totally impartial newsreader )told him to look away now as they were going to the outside broadcast unit at the hospital. No doubt the BBC will take the 5 mins as fair representation of the next 40 hours or so pro royal gush that's coming.Perhaps at last though the great PR. machine might be running out of steam.

The feedback i am getting is that it is definitely happening.Very difficult to gauge a percentage though ,but it will cost the SNP a few seats IMO.However also making people angry and some Labour and Liberals now say they are voting SNP.I think the fall out from this might carry on to the Scottish elections next year .

Murphy(Mcteirnan )strategy of talking the entire length of an interview over every question while repeating 5 key phrases was halted in it's tracks last night.Murphy knows the interviewer will eventually refer to the next question as time is pressing. But Sally refused to let go and came back to topic ,when Murphy thought the question was over .He clearly had not considered her opinion about the level of SNP support at over 50% of the votes as a democratic reason for driving another mandate for a future referendum. Dugdale for me has the look of someone who has come to the awful conclusion that she has backed the wrong political horse .I just wonder if by putting her in a position of power where she is seen to be so inept ,that she has been hung out to dry by her own side.

Don't know if anyone saw this but Holmes & Co had a wee discussion about The SNP in the studio.Seem resigned to the fact that the Scots will have an unhealthy influence over their beloved mother of Parliaments .Trying to blame each other for not voting for PR as that would have sorted the SNP out.Comment about only two million Scots being able to influence their lives not being democratic was depressing.The irony of course would not even have registered. The saddest thing of all was they did not seem to acknowledge that some of the 2 million may actually have been watching Not just condescending but as if they regard us as children they can talk over in a room. From Cleggs speech this morning ,it would seem like the Liberals are now proposing to be the police of politics .Vote for us and get 75% of Liberal policies from a Labour or Tory government .Guaranteed.

You are allocated a health visitor for every child who is born and have been for decades .Part of their duty is too highlight risk or cause for concerns in the early tears to child protection.This will be in conjunction with social services.This happens in a tiny proportion of cases ..This transfers from the age of 5 to and so on until school leaver or adulthood.They are trained to look out for warning signs to prevent abuse I am not getting the issue with this at all ?

Mh .I dont know what agenda or the validly of these publications .You can put anything out on the internet these days.But trust me It is concerning children at risk only .Rights to medical reports etc have been there for years.There is no legal challenge .The only legal challenge put forward stalled at first base and i think was more about LAK .Only a tiny percentage of children as viewed as "at risk"And this will help to ensure they are safe in law. If there is ongoing legal activity it may just be the Law commission"info testing".Which is pretty standard for this type of procedure to final Act.It has been law in England for several years .Not an SNP issue but cross party agreement as to best practice.Unless some political dirty tricks is going on as to previous agreement (which would not surprise me) .One wifey i spoke to said the government could name anyone to be a guardian for no reason. I've been here off and on since Ezzy.Longer than most.I use this board for good information and opinion as regarding Scotland's political situation with some good humour thrown in.The variety of posters ,with the odd academic thrown in is far more relevant to real opinion than the bland rhetoric of academic social media. The named persons act is just a re-affirmation of what exists already with social worker health visitor and headmaster responsibility for vulnerable concerns.It is simply putting into law what has been in existence for years in the last few days i have spoken to 3 women that have specifically named this peace of legislation being some sort of SNP policy that terrifies them .Why ?It is already Law in England and Wales and has total cross party agreement.There is no argument .nothing to see. I am puzzled as to what information you and others have read or seen.It is purely to help children at risk .Can you give me an indication where you are getting your information please.
