Larky Masher
Didn't even realise they were touring until this week too late for this (and Sunday) but will go to the Corn Exchange one in February.
scoobydoo
Used to love the wall of noise at Jesus and Mary Chain gigs. You'd walk out shouting at people as you're hearing was totally ####ed. Lots of imitators but these guys are right up there at the top. Great band.

Charlie Endell
Annoyed I missed this. Automatic is an under-rated classic - I couldn't stand it when I bought it on LP - it was only years later when I decided to give it a second chance on CD that I started to appreciate it. Return of Yermaw
Annoyed I missed this. Automatic is an under-rated classic - I couldn't stand it when I bought it on LP - it was only years later when I decided to give it a second chance on CD that I started to appreciate it. I also love the songs on Automatic. But i find I starting noticing and focussing on the drum machine (Gillespie leaving etc) more and more and it becomes really annoying to me depending on my mood. If they could re-record the album with an actual drummer it would be right up there for me.

If they could re-record the album with an actual drummer it would be right up there for me.That was the main thing I didn't like about when I first listened to the LP. I must have developed a drum-machine tolerance in the intervening years. I wouldn't mind going tomorrow night but the Sabbath is for quiet contemplation; not concerts (especially bands with blasphemous-sounding names) and football matches . sonofoi
I'm going tonight. Take it they have a drummer rather than drum machine? Who was the support on Fri night?

adamntg
Accompanied the wife. Have to say I was never a fan and that was reinforced last night. Godawful they were. I'm sure it seemed very alternative and rebellious when they were teenagers but it just looked silly and sounded terrible last night. Thought I might enjoy it when I was there but was worse than I imagined. I've seen better bands for £3 in pubs in Kirkcaldy back in the day.
