KennethV
51 left now. When was the last time Scotland had 60,000 for a home game? It could just be that they will release another batch of tickets tomorrow though?
AberdeenAngus
Was that the night Willie Miller got the injury that effectively ended his career and Murdo McLeod ended up playing the last 15 at sweeper? Aye.
Barney Rubble
Aye. Did Miller ever play for Aberdeen again after that? He certainly didn't make Italia 90.
H Wragg
Looks like it was 15th November 1989 v Norway. 63,987. We're set for our biggest crowd for nearly 25 years... That was my first Scotland game. Qualified for Italia '90 that night.
Toepoke
The Norway game was Davie Cooper's last at Hampden for us too. He was recalled after some fine form at Motherwell but looked past it at international level sadly. We nearly blew it at the end. I remember the whole crowd going "Oooooooooooooooooooooooo" for about the last five minutes in anticipation. I think the sound must've been vibrating Leighton's contact lenses. Anyway, yeah I was thinking the same earlier, it looks like Friday will be the largest crowd at a home game since the 80s. Great stuff! Our biggest crowd of the century and a record that's likely to stand for years...
McVinceSCT
It will surely be our biggest crowd but at least 10K will be Ireland fans...
Squirrelhumper
Still be more Scotland fans there than would be at Hampden.

KennethV
It says there are no items available for sale now for the Ireland game.. so I take it that means its a sell out now then?
Zander_14
It says there are no items available for sale now for the Ireland game.. so I take it that means its a sell out now then? You would think that is the case. However, knowing the SFA, another 1000 or so, will go on sale tomorrow or something. Shambles

Shambles It doesn't even come up with the stadium plan now, it just says no items available, I don't think it has done that before has it? If so, there must've been a fairly large crowd at that one?

Toepoke
I think it has, was there not a temporary stand behind one of the goals then? Aye the Jock Stein hadn't been built. Used to get a great view over the city from up the back during that period.
