CraigieBrown
I idly thought yesterday about putting in for the ballot for some tickets for the rugby world cup (in England 2015). However, when I looked at the prices, I thought, just how much rugby has changed and the authorities are just taking the piss - even worse than the SSC think they can take the piss! There are a small number of 'almost' affordable tickets and a small number of cheap tickets for games that will barely 1/4 fill the stadia they are being played in: http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/mm/document/tournament/generic/02/06/99/31/rwc2015pricing.pdf I wont be joining their posh fest. Among the Scotland fans, it sadly has moved continually towards the upper end and will be mainly the rich spoon fed union jack waving No voting tory voting rugger bugger fans that will attend. I have been to plenty of Scotland rugby matches in the past and hate the snobbery shown in certain quarters. Will just get too angry these days to be amongst these snobby dickheads. Sod 'em. Cheers Craigie
andyg83
Birds are nicer at the rugby though eh? Get on frown to the warriors mate. They are better than Scotland IMO.
binobear
Brutal, was thinking about it it too but not paying that - no kids tickets for QF's onwards is especially callous
Duncan Blackheart
I'm watching scotland v usa at elland road for £20, but the south africa match is stting me back about £60. I'm not going to any moe than that - it's a pisstake. They are marketing it as a once in a lifetime experience. Bollox. They're just milking t - normally, i try not to want england to lose, but in this case, if they get horsed out in the first round by wales and australia, it would be particularly well-deserved for the RFU. Murrayfield prices not too bad in comparison. Am watching the wales game for £35 and thinking of watching new zealand for slightly less. Went to Warriors v Leinster - that was fun. Know what you're saying, but must say that i've never seen a union flag at rugby in the crowd ever, i don't think. club or international. andyg83
I was once told I should sing gstq at Murrayfield at an England game by a Scottish guy as it'was our anthem too'. How I laughed.
Bzzzz
I was once told I should sing gstq at Murrayfield at an England game by a Scottish guy as it'was our anthem too'. How I laughed. Same here, I also got told to 'sit down' and 'oh do be quiet' whilst supporting the team v england. No voter heaven, I'll never go to a rugby match again, horrible. MKScot
How much would you pay for a 6 nations game? Looks like they have borrowed 7/8 football grounds + the Olympic stadium so they can maximise the attendances and then upped the prices to maximise their profits .... And the idea of no kids prices for any of the knockout games is shocking!!!!
arbroath55
I was once told I should sing gstq at Murrayfield at an England game by a Scottish guy as it'was our anthem too'. How I laughed. I remember going to Murrayfield in the early `70`s and guys would be handing out sheets with the lyrics to `Scotland The Brave` on with instructions to start singing it when they raised a flag, usually during GSTQ. According to wiki Scottish rugby fans have been singing FoS a few years longer than Scottish football fans. `The song has been used as a National Anthem by the Scotland national rugby union team, ever since the winger, Billy Steele, encouraged his team-mates to sing it on the victorious Lions tour of South Africa in 1974.[4] The song was adopted as the pre-game anthem during the deciding match of the 1990 Five Nations Championship between Scotland and England, which Scotland won 13–7 to win the Grand Slam.[5] The Scottish Football Association adopted "Flower of Scotland" as its pre-game national anthem in 1997[6] although it was first used by them in 1993.[citation needed] Usually only the first and third verses are sung.[7]

No voter heaven, I'll never go to a rugby match again, horrible. Atmosphere at Murrayfield in the old days on the terracing was great. Have to admit I've not been back since it went all seated... Guest flumax
Because of this ballot nonsense I've put in for all Scotland games . If I'm "lucky" and get drawn, it'll be about a grand taken off my credit card next week. Ideally I want the terrace in Gloucester for £20 and SA in Newcastle. USA and Samoa can do one. But would rather get to one of them than not at all. Also put in for Wales England.

Guest flumax
Bit of an exaggeration as my liability is a quarter. Im ordering for me and mates. it's only a grand worth of applications. Won't get them and It'll end up being a couple hundred for 2-3 matches for me. If they all come off, I'll be screwed or I'll make it back on eBay I guess. j b lyons
Applied for 4 tickets for Scotland v Japan Iin Gloucster & Scotland V USA in Leeds. Both games tickets priced £35.00 which is reasonable. Declined the 'tick box' offer of accepting higher priced ticket if my category not available as price jumps to £65.
