er yir macaroon
Gordon Martin Hanley Berra Tierney Brown Armstrong Snodgrass Burke Griffiths Fraser Had it been an away game i'd possibly swap Griffiths for Phillips and play Burke as a striker. Mazziessc
Just now, er yir macaroon said: I thought about Tierney right back, although i don't think Robertson could handle it. I hear you. Robertson would be better used at LB, I would trust Tierney to adapt better. Despite that we should be accommodating both rather than throwing Anya or a CB in. andyD
For me it would be: Gordon Martin - Mulgrew - Berra - Robertson Brown - Armstrong Snodgrass - Burke - Fraser Griffiths Still not convinced by Griffiths as an international center forward. Part of me does want to throw Burke up front, Snoddy central and Philips on the right, tho that might just result in Burke being isolated and ineffectual. ProudScot
It will be a disappointing selection with the squad rife with players who shouldn't be there and aren't as good as those not called up. Basically, who cares till Strachan is gone.

I share these concerns yet with the bigger picture our starting 11 (centre halfs aside) is suddenly looking a lot more promising than a few months ago. If you think it's the team Strachan will pick you're off you're rocker.

Reevesy
Mulgrew has scored a few winners down at Blackburn but don't think he's played well defensively. I'd have Martin and Berra at CB.

kumnio
The team is almost irrelevant, we wont qualify for 2018, and a new manager will need to rebuild once the rodent has left, or he stays and we are gubbed for 2020 before a ball is even kicked. That's what post Christmas drinking does to you Might have to be Martin there then. Not convinced Tierney or Robertson would suit playing on their opposite side. Suppose the Canada game (if that's who we actually play) would be a good chance to try it though.

The same sort of team and system he hsa played all campaign. If you think guys like Griffiths and Ryan Fraser will start against Slovenia under Strachan you're off your head. andyD
Just realised that Bardsley's back on the bench for Stoke. A call for him seem highly unlikely, but we really don't have a good option at right back for this game, so he might just get a phone call. jackhayes17
Gordon Love? Martin Mulgrew Tierney Brown Armstrong Phillips Snodgrass Fraser Burke Would be my team. The way Matt Phillips is playing he'd be my first name on the teamsheet. Wouldn't be surprised to see Strachan try and coax Hutton out of retirement.
