Anyone that has seen shankland over past couple of seasons can see he is the real deal and upto him how far he goes really. All he lacks is lightening pace. Can see why not been called up for these games but come San Marino, Kazakhstan and Cyprus would be disappointed if he didn’t get a chance. Better than Brophy, and past it Naismith, fletcher, Russell etc. Mcburnie deserves his chance now and griffiths when he’s back will no doubt start but could do a lot worse than getting shankland in the squad now

McKenna was average / poor for Ayr in the championship last year and sun at best. McCrorie showed more promise a couple of years back when with us for a short spell but to say these guys are ready for international football after one or two decent performances is a joke. Cooper has been standout at Leeds so worth a go

To suggest we were rank maybe suggests you should stop watching Scotland. Good performance against a decent international team. Don't think 10 men helped us actually. Thought bannen had a great game. Forrest deserved to come off and players fought till the end and clearly believe they can score at any point in the game. Personally would have liked Mcginn on but thought the midfield had a good game even before the sending off. If you don't enjoy nights like that then something wrong. dont think we are doing better in spite of wgs but because he's finally realised building a team around a successful Celtic side makes sense as does playing players in form rather than his old favs like fletcher, Naismith, Hanley etc

In fairness think sfa got it right for once. Some on here would say they are shite no matter what they did but I'm sure we can afford a wee fine. Utter bollocks. Getting a bit sick of all this blaming certain groups of fans for our ills. Been to some cracking away games over last 25 years with great atmosphere. Milan, Dortmund, Oslo, Bari, Kaunas and not always to watch a win or decent performance. What exactly is wrong with travelling to watch Scotland away support the team during the game but dress how they want, make friends, don't cause trouble, have a few beers, catch up with mates and see a bit more of a foreign country than a fookin Irish bar. Hey if some want to dress like loons and get their face in the local rag or tv then fair enough as long as come match time they are facing the pitch and singing their support. Again people slag the 'doh a deer' crowd but one of best atmospheres was singing that for 20 mins non stop whilst a riot was going on below in the San siro between Italian fans. Im sure it was probably easier supporting Scotland pre 1998 on the basis that we had a successful team (relatively) that actuallly qualified for something. Quite honestly surprised we still take the numbers travelling we do.

Starting 11 was last through of the dice and desperation. Suddenly getting in griffiths, wallace, Berra in as well as brown and dumping likes of Mcarthur bannan Ritchie Martin who've been starting. Amazing admission of not having a clue. So sad that after the early promise of Zagreb and even the Wembley friendly it's all gradually and spectacularly gone to shit. Starting to make levein look ok. Think it's a personal choice and personally would always wear a poppy as mark of respect. Danger is younger generations continue to forget the madness that occurred back in WW1. Is it anything to do with football....probably not but equally let's not use it as some on here are for the usual SFA, Regan bashing. Quite frankly it's boring. Agree it was a joke and could have been dangerous. Weird thing was there were gates that were locked right next to the exit turnstiles?! Surely Fifa look at this before allowing grounds to host matches. Funnily enough was the best singsong of the night waiting to get out!!!

2001 was my first away game too and it was made clear to me too no club colours. Suppose it's historically to avoid all the old firm bull. Have always seen a few Morton tartan tops etc and even saw a pink Ayr rugby top yesterday. I'm sure most people have enough Scotland tops in their wardrobe to avoid the need for club colours.....?

Getting right royally pissed off with people slagging everything and anything for the sake of it. Think the loony Alba tops are great and amusing. Keep up the good work. Don't take things so seriously ffs. Have always said TA is much missed at major tournaments but after euros think we've been overtaken well and truly by others. Dreadful tackle for sure, red card almost certainly should have been but some using as an excuse to get him out the squad just because he doesn't have ginger hair and eat haggis for breakfast is lame in the extreme. Player of the year at Brighton prior to his Sunderland move and let's face it a few others have been turned into 'bad' players at that club, McFadden, fletcher and others. Deserves another chance in next friendlies imho

The away badge on the adidas strip is totally the wrong colour!

Just back up in Ayr for new year and popped into local JD sports to have a look at new range. Very poor quality both shirts (no matter the colour!). Bought the away one last time as didn't like the silver badge nonsense (and am a fan of the wacky 90's style shirts). Won't be getting either this time and the training gear is again bog standard fodder the same as Ayr United have. Would rather support my local team than the sfa robbers. No sewn on badge on all the training / leisure gear is another no-no. Maybe I'm just getting old and turning into victor meldrew after so many failed campaigns!!!

I'm not adverse to a bit of tartan tat. Don't think it would take much to work out a few freebies that supporters would fancy every couple of years. They used to give the wee z cards mini guide of the city going to which I thought were quite good and stuck in your sporran. They then scrapped that and did video on the website then scrapped that. Biggest issue for me is the underhand way they either put the price up or keep it the same....but give you less for it. In fairness a membership fee that gave u proper and decent discount on your home ticket would be the best reward. If they don't want to give sensible prices for all at least do it for the elite!!!

Fantastic control and volleyed goal yesterday and playing every week in Premiership and full of confidence. Not saying he'd be my first choice but with Morrison suspended, Maloney maybe out and fletcher with zero confidence would fancy him to start against Poland. Decent delivery as well. Wee Gordon clearly rates him too so will certainly feature at some stage.

Marshall Hutton Martin Hanley Whittaker Mcarthur fletcher brown Naismith fletcher maloney Griffiths is shite and not the time to lead the line despite fletcher having zero confidence and no goals. Russell in a poor Derby team and Rhodes and McCormack nowhere to be seen Robertson totally outmuscled and has gone backwards so need Whittaker. Mcarthur must play and Darren fletcher for some leadership. Brown on form should go too but no way strachan would drop his captain. Anya from the bench. Martin and mulgrew together lacked muscle and Hanley and Martin has always (surprisingly) seemed solid. Can't just pick all form players.....not as simple as that.

For all his faults rarely lets Scotland down and didn't lose last night because of him. Doesn't deserve a thread of his own slagging him anyway. Boring bollocks sorry

When I heard the team I thought fair enough all be it a bit too attack minded. Would have had Whittaker, mcarthur and maybe Gordon in instead of Robertson Morrison and Marshall. Then the game started and no matter the heat, pitch, opposition we should have been able to create chances and have a few shots......very very poor and strachan got his substitutions wrong big time. Not sure how Hanley Forrest and griffiths were going to get us a goal. Hutton has played his best for us when not playing at villa but Whittaker and mcarthur have both started the season well in the premiership so should have started. Do worry that WGS has started believing his own hype a bit and trying to be too clever. The formation at home to gibralter, dropping Anya in Dublin and line up and subs tonight. Having said that one bad result doesn't end the campaign.....a defeat on Monday would.......

I flew up from Birmingham airport just after the game finished for a security guy to ask if it finished 1-0 to Georgia. When I said yes he laughed and told his mates.....couldn't wait to get on the flight ohh and put on my hoody over my ssc tshirt. Feel so sorry for those that went. However first real setback under strachan and a win or draw on Monday keeps us in it. Does feel like we've thrown away chance to be 2nd or best 3rd place though and even with good results from now on a play off defeat / close but no cigar looms. Like many it all suddenly seems very familiar.....I still fancy a sneaky 1-0 win over Germany on Monday though....and I've not even had a drink!

But all playing in the prem next season! WGS has consistently had bannan in the squad and given him games. Clearly last night was not the right time for him to come on. Good player though and can pass better than brown for certain
