  1. Past hour
  2. It's the worst man U team since football began. IE when the premier league started. Football didn't exist before then.....
  3. I used to think this, but having been over to the US recently and watched a couple of games, I can confirm that the standard is absolutely dire! I have no doubt the decent teams in the MLS are the level of high end Scottish Championship/low level premiership. I guess Clarke knows Gauld is a good player but thinks: 1 - it's too much of a risk trying him given he's not getting tested at a level worthy of international selection. 2 - we've plenty of squad depth in midfield anyway. Personally, I'd have given him a shot but I can't blame Clarke in his thinking.
  4. I see there's a link to the Berlin emission stickers, you got a link to the Munich one, or as the last poster said is it one sticker for all Germany?
  5. Campervanning round Germany 2024

  6. Today
  7. Big Olympic year coming up. Scottish athletes have done really well in recent years, let's hope it can continue. The likes of Reekie, Muir, McColgan, Kerr, Wightman should all be in the GB and N.I team, injury permitting.
  8. Jimmy Anderson just announced his retirement from test cricket. Absolutely phenomenal career. As a fast bowler to have managed to play the amount of matches he has is quite incredible.
  9. There was an article on the BBC website yesterday posing that question. I'm not a Man Utd fan but it's obviously not the case. It got me thinking about 73/4 when they got relegated. I wasn't really old enough to remember it but looking at the squad that year they had a few decent Scottish players (Holton, Buchan, Macari). What went wrong, just not enough quality in some areas, injuries, poor management? It was also really interesting to look at the final table and just seen how much English football has been warped and twisted by money. The only one of the 'big six' finishing in the top ten were Liverpool, who presumably were under Shankley.
  10. Great goal. Reminds me of the one Liam Scales scored for you (last season?)
  11. Sunak knows what he's doing, stirring up further division in Scotland. The Scottish unionists will lap his shit up, they won't see it as an insult. Genuinely starting to believe this type of speech will get worse, even when starmer gets in. They will stir up so much hatred we will end up seeing violence in Scotland.
  12. Disagree, there's no evidence to suggest scotland fans would act in anywhere near the same fashion as the England fans did at euro 2020.
  13. the blonde kid reminded me of Jay from Inbetweeners ; kind of ironic at the end he was saying people should just grow up (after he's so proud of clambering on top of a bus ...)
  14. agree ; am not convinced on volume of neds though would of been the same ; and surrounds to hampden maybe not as appealing as a gathering/party place for the young team
  15. Yesterday
  16. I'm mostly happy with Steve Clarke, but his constantly ignoring Morgan and Gauld is a puzzler. Gauld was great in Portugal and Morgan is really improving. Morgan, especially, would be great inclusion. He's always been a great dribbler. I can't see either player being included in the upcoming friendlies. One player I think will be on the plane to Germany is Barron. As for Doak? No chance.
  17. 🥴 It's actually ideal as they consider him fit enough for first team action but don't play him for too long👌
  18. Tournament winners & predictions - Think it’s either between France & dare I say… England to win it with Portugal as 3rd favourites. Can’t see any of the of the others touching those 3. Also cannot see Germany being anywhere near as bad as they’ve been. Looks like they managed to find a system that works and a starting lineup that can play that system as a team in the most recent international break in March. For Scotland - It’s more in hope than expectation. If we had our strongest squad available then I’d really fancy us to get runners up or qualify as one of the 4 best 3rd placed nations but right now, I’m not too sure as I was previously. Missing both our first choice RB’s and the huge gap in quality between those two and the possible replacements gives me the fear. I’m sure it’s giving Clarke a lot to think about on who he is going to play in that position. The Germany game is a free hit for me. It will be a bonus if we got a point or bagged a very unexpected win against the host nation on their back yard on the opening night but if we don’t get anything from that game then it’s not the end of the world. I’m more looking more towards the other two games that we must take points from - Switzerland & Hungary. 4 points from those two games is the target and if we achieve that, then it’s a very good possibility this Scotland team will have made history & be deservedly lauded for it by reaching the knockout rounds. Anything after that is a bonus. Plans for the tournament - I depart Edinburgh en route to Germany early hours on Thursday 13th June (1 month today). Absolutely buzzing for my 1st ever major tournament would be an understatement & even moreso that I have tickets for our 3 group games! Staying in Munich till the 16th with my Dad who is coming with me on the 13th. He will head back home to Edinburgh on the 16th and I’ll be getting the train onto Cologne that same day & will be staying there till the 21st and then onto Stuttgart that day & staying there till the 25th. Will still to try post on here occasionally whilst in Germany & share a few pics/vids of the atmosphere around the area and of course inside the stadiums.

  20. An article from a year ago has little relevance especially considering he's barely played this season and White has been a standout. It's not common knowledge that he joined to play RB either, as stated previously, he can play in a number of positions which Arteta seems to like. He had Saka at LB at one point, Jesus either ST or out wide, Havertz playing CM or CF, White playing as a RB, Tomiyasu and Kiwor playing LB despite being more traditional CB's, Trossard playing CF/Wing. Don't really understand Moyes comments considering Scaloni won the world cup with Argentina, Southgate managing england etc. I'm not sure if i'd be thrilled with Moyes being the next manager to be honest with the way the game is going nowadays even though he's probably got the best creditionals of anyone that may be interested. Think he will slowly decline once he leaves West Ham and will move around from team to team until he accept a gig with Scotland.
  21. Really hope he goes bologna. They should be given first refusal on all our young players.
  22. Bologna, Coventry and Swansea all interested in Connor Barron. Sassuolo and Cagliari have both already shown an interest.
  23. I'd be genuinely shocked if scotland fans rushed the ground the way the England fans did.
