Charlie Endell
I watched The Germans the other night - genius - I don't think Fawlty Towers will ever be topped. 70s TV is easily the best. Quality over quantity. Edited September 18, 2015 by Charlie Endell

Dillinger
Loads, for me, as much as I love Fawlty Towers. Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Mighty Boosh, Brass Eye, The Day Today, Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Simpsons...

Charlie Endell
Complete and utter racism. It would have been unrealistic for a man of Basil's age and background at that time to have been a lentil-munching leftie - Fawlty is only a fictitious character - the joke was on him, not the Germans. Toepoke
Only 12 episodes got them on video dvd and jist been watchin them on gold basil the rat the last wan Still laugh oot loud 4 years between the series, very unusual back then. I mind seeing Cleese interviewed saying he thought series 2 was better. I think only one series was initially intended but after it was screened people who worked in hotels would approach him telling him stories of rats in kitchens and dead bodies in bedrooms etc. The material was too good for him not to use.
