GordonC
For the first time due to work I will be driving to the game. My seat is in the West stand. Anybody got suggestions on where best to park?
Byrne2711
Bumping this. Driving back straight after game to Somerset so looking for a decent place to park that doesn't take hours to get out of. Cheers
ChorleyFM
Normally park on Prospecthill Road which is just after coming through Rutherglen towards Hampden. Bit of a wait til traffic clears after the game but not too bad.

dandydunn
We park a bit further up from asda, past the indoor place,(rutherglen)? Normally get out of the housing estate easily.
northernscum
I normally park off Polmadie road. 15 min stroll to the stadium, then when i get back to the car i am usually on the motorway within 10 minutes.
TorryLoon
Do they still use the field on Queen Park area on match days, one on Queens Drive
Dandydon
Surprised there hasn't been any travel advice issued by the SFA and the police - no mention of trains being dry either?

Cheers Park on Carmunnock Road (or one of the streets leading off it) up by the Territorial Army building - should be a breeze getting away - head up to Carmunnock, nip over Cathkin Braes, up to EK and then join the M74 at Hamilton (therefore skipping the queues to join 74 at Polmadie) - I live in the area and always use this route when heading south. Nocko
How do you get passes for the big car park on aitkenhead road?
scottincarlisle
If we are not staying overnight we park Menock Rd area. Anything closer is restricted.
Wigtownshire-Matt
Used Queens Park Recreation Ground for the Northern Ireland game. Went back to use on the Sunday for the Gibraltar game and it was closed. Going to try again tonight.

Aye agree with this. This is where I used to park (make sure your car is facing southbound on Carmunnock Road). Used to be able to get back to Larkhall in around 30-40 minutes even during sell outs. Route is easy as noted above B759/A749/A725/M74
Peeheed
So where's the best place to park if driving from Edinburgh
Deedee
So where's the best place to park if driving from Edinburgh Park somewhere over the other side of Queen`s Park from the stadium and head out Nithsdale Road/Dumbreck Road and back onto the M8 from there. northernscum
Having parked where I mentioned earlier in this thread... Jessie Street, just off Polmadie road in an industrial estate, I landed a parking ticket last night. I have parked here for the last half a dozen Hampden games without any issue, no yellow lines, no signs. Anyone think this is worth arguing the toss over? Any chancer firms out there pretending to be genuine parking enforcement?
scottincarlisle
Any chancer firms out there pretending to be genuine parking enforcement? We parked up Menock Rd way but noticed about half a dozen 'officers' in green uniforms about as we walked to the Beechwood pub. Menock Rd & Kings Park Ave were fine. Charlie Endell
I think they create a 'ring' around Hampden where it's a no go for parking unless you're a resident - not totally sure about Scotland games but it was definitely in place for the Commonwealth Games. Anything closer from Kings Park Ave had 'Event parking restrictions' signs up last night.
