Scunnered
Strong rumours that Katy is about to defect? Definitely not. Scunnered would literally explode if that happened. I wouldn't explode... But I'd look like a feckin' idiot. Oh how I would laugh Although he does seem to be trying to pave the way for a backtrack Hmmm...
Wine bibber
Definitely not. I wouldn't explode... But I'd look like a feckin' idiot. Hmmm... it doesn't stop you from repeating the exercise on a regular basis though. if Clark is on the podium today. It would definitely take politics to a new level.Member of the labour party whose unionist policy to support weapons of mass destruction is one of their main reasons for membership, decides to support their removal without actually resigning from the said Labour party. Not only that but her close political colleagues are campaigning for nuclear weapons and the wonderful benefit of protecting Scotland from Korean Invasion. Even if she is forced to resign after today or might actually do the decent thing .She has been quoted as saying"her views as consistent with labour traditions"At least she is telling the truth here labour have always supported wasting billions in support of nuclear weapons since the 1940's as opposed to tackling poverty that has been endemic in their constituencies since their inception as a party 1920's. And if she claims to be some form of socialist why doesn't she join the 4 parties who are more socially principled and to the left of her current one in Scotland. One of them even has the word socialist in the title .What a giveaway eh?.Even Katy might be able to work that out but it might impede her career path to our wonderful second chamber. Oh sorry wait a minute their can't be socialists in the House of Lords. That would be an impossibility wouldn't it Edited April 4, 2015 by Wine bibber

hunchy
Just checked the stream and Katy is right up there on the podium. It does sort of smack of hypocrisy that she is there but still a member of the labour party. OK yes she could be working from the inside but it does give too many mixed signals by being there. Could she be getting ready to jump ship?
Scunnered
Katy spoke well, as she always does and was reasonably well received. Real face palm moment when she chose to have a dig at the SNP's voting record on Trident given who her party are, and the makeup of the audience, it received a few boos but that's to be expected. Kitty Cat Boyd stole the show for me, passionate and honest... Even managed a dig in at Nato that got a huge cheer from a seemingly confused SNP heavy crowd. Still trying to work out why poor Jenny deserved the biggest boo of the day when she introduced herself as an SSP member

Scunnered
Means fcuk all if their party aren't. The ones with integrity will go against the party whip, they have the freedom to do so.
Padre Andrew
it doesn't stop you from repeating the exercise on a regular basis though. if Clark is on the podium today. Member of the labour party whose unionist policy to support weapons of mass destruction is one of their main reasons for membership, decides to support their removal without actually resigning from the said Labour party. Not only that but her close political colleagues are campaigning for nuclear weapons and the wonderful benefit of protecting Scotland from Korean Invasion. Back in the day (and I am showing my age here) the CND rallies of the early 1980s were a real eclectic mix. There were people of all political parties on the podiums and on the marches, some of them very unlikely co-walkers. I seem to mind a few Tories there – people of some integrity who voted right wing but just couldn’t see the military or ethical point of Cruise missiles. It’s the same today with the anti-Trident rallies, though it may be harder for some unexpected co-walkers to show their faces. Some brands are just becoming too toxic.
