I noticed pics from Tibilisi on facebook from a girl I worked with 20 years ago when we were both with Forte.

Anyhoo I got in touch and she`s now got her own travel company specialising in top of the range travel to Russia and Eastern Europe

https://exeterinternational.co.uk/destinations/

Here`s her feedback

You need at least one full day in the city. Stalin's museum at Gori is, In my opinion, a must, And one day out doing one of the wine experiences. If you just have time for tbilisi, try and allow 2 days extra. Tons of churches etc. hotels: radisson is a bit pricy, but probably where your team Will be staying (Germans were staying here last week) if you want a budget hotel, try and get into boutique hotel number 12

Restaurants : Tabla (my favourite) Azerpersha (fab) avoid the bread house

Any questions for her ?

That's an excellent site. Is your mate that Ala wifie?

Always fancied the Trans Siberian - would certainly consider using them when I get round to it.

Im never drinking wine on a trip again.

Ever.

Better staying away from the cheap stuff and get a mid price range bottle.

I used to be partial to some Port on away games, got a cheap bottle and was ill the next day.

Got a mid range bottle another time and no issues what so ever. Its all to do with filtering out the impurities apparently, so i am told.

:ok:
