Bristolhibby
At Hampden or London or San José even? http://www.heraldscotland.com/mobile/sport/football/scotland-and-costa-rica-to-meet-again.114483966 J
wanderer
Most likely in Scotland or in London again, as I really doubt Strachan would want to go all that way for a friendly game, only to travel back for a important qualifier. wanderer
Think there has been about 4 or 5 Scotland games at Villa Park.... few early England v Scotland games, and one war time match.

We were dropped near the ground at some mini athletics stadium where there was beer and food getting sold and a 200 a side dutch v scots football match going on in the middle. The atmostphere in the end behind the goal at the match was pretty special too. Would love to go back there
wanderer
There seems to be some Baku based Scottish guy going around Twitter and other forums in the last few weeks saying a Scotland v Azerbaijan match in Glasgow is close to being announced for June

wanderer
Not a very good friendly for our ranking points! I would not look to much into it, as the only thing that makes me think "maybe...." is the fact the guy said the game is in Glasgow (if he had said Baku, then straight away you could bin the idea). Just need to wait and see. I tweeted him yesterday to see if any further development and said there was none (yet was saying game was 80% sure to happen a week or two ago). wanderer
Home game would suit me. Wee Berti still in charge there? No, he got the bullet few months back and its now Robert Prosineckinin that is there manager. Google translation of the above article is not the greatest.... when you translate it the Russian version into English, the sentence which says "Head of Information and Public Relations Department of AFFA Mikail Narimanoglu said that Scotland does not have any information concerning the condition of the match" translates as "Mikail Narimanoglu said that Scotland does not have any information concerning the connection of the match"..... Azerbaijan translated article implies the AFFA have no details from the SFA over the details of the date and venue, while the Russian translation basically says the game is denied. jimstroma
Were you back there for the swiss game when supersub namesake ally scored the winner!I was at that game Brian. Slept in the make up campsite with the huge Marquee bar where we all marched to the ground with the Swiss fans behind a piper. Great atmosphere all day and night, shame that England didnae score more goals against Holland.
