Armchair Bob
Don't think they will go for it. There is a rule around parliamentary political broadcasts that gives the SNP equal billing in Scotland due to their relatively high showing. If they stand in England, suddenly they become a UK minority party (to be fair no worse than the Lib Dems at the moment!) and they won't get parity in PPBs in Scotland. It's a tradeoff between that and the leadership debates, which the BBC etc are determined the SNP and Greens won't be represented in anyway. ZoltanBuchan
They should run in Corby, they'd probably get a landslide

How would it work if a lookalike candidate stood? Not SNP, but something like ‘Indy for Scotland’? Would the same rules apply?

biffer
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28225325 And did that same BBC report not have a majority of Corby Scots as pro-union?
Mindimoo
And did that same BBC report not have a majority of Corby Scots as pro-union? There was an updated link which I recall confirmed that.
iainmac1
How would it work if a lookalike candidate stood? Not SNP, but something like Indy for Scotland? Would the same rules apply? Surely that would defeat the whole purpose then. The snp would still not stand outwith Scotland and the reason for excluding them from debates would remain
