Is this the start of a new era🤔 Came back from 2 sets down in final👍 beat djok the cock in the semi. A German speaking Italian..from Tyrol. Disappointed I missed this yesterday. Happy for Sinner. Seems a likeable lad. Apparently had a chance at skiing as well but I imagine he’s made the right choice and a fair bit more money in the tennis!! Going to be an interesting next few years with Sinner, Alcaraz, Ruud, Rune and others jostling. In other news… Murray with another disappointing R1 loss tonight to Paire in Montpellier at an ATP250 event. Doesn’t look good.
vanderark14 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 French open final on now. Zverev currently up 2 1 in sets v Alcaraz. But 2 break points early in 4th for alcaraz
Caledonian Craig Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Zverev has to win in four or else physicality will come into play and Alcaraz will win.
vanderark14 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 The wife and I want Zverev to win.....just do we can say we have seen 6 grandslam winners 😆 🤣
Caledonian Craig Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I would be worried if I were a Zverev fan after that fourth set. Zverev (like Murray early in his career) has already lost a few slam finals and he will be thinking 'Here we go again'.

Semi finals There is merit in comparing him to murray but I am not convinced zverev has the heart to win a slam. Sinner and Alcaraz are showing signs of becoming the dominant forces on tennis post djokovic, especially alcaraz. I'm not sure if Djokovic is quite finished yet too. Tennis fans have been very lucky to see the 3 greatest players in history and I wad thinking there was nobody to replace them....Alcaraz may just do that.
vanderark14 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) There's an andy murray documentary on iplayer called will to win. I'm not sure if it's new or not, I haven't seen it yet but will be watching it Edited June 21, 2024 by vanderark14
