ZoltanBuchan
Do you like walking? Bus to Peebles or anywhere in that area and do one of the legs of the National Trail?

Wauchope Lad
I`d second North Berwick , great place, plenty shops pubs and restaurants, rugged coastal paths and wildlife.
biffer
Cheers folks. North Berwick sounds good, might take a wee trip out that way. Was thinking about going up to Kirkcaldy and walking back along the coastal path as well, so cheers for those suggestions as well. Bus down to Peebles and walling the national trail sounds good too. Got the week off so will do a few things. Ta all.
Armchair Bob
From north Berwick, walk along the coast to Aberlady, takes about 4 and a half hours, probably my favourite walk between Forth and Tweed. Although I would maybe do it the other way round, from Aberlady to North Berwick (get the bus to Aberlady). Do it at low tide. Brilliant walk. http://loveofscotland.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/beaches-of-east-lothian.html http://loveofscotland.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/spring-tide.html
Flat Earth
I remember there was a mention on here some years back about a coastal chain walk in Fife somewhere.
Jonathan
I remember there was a mention on here some years back about a coastal chain walk in Fife somewhere. It is the Lower Largo to Pittenweem (chains are just before Elie - 4 miles from Largo) section of the Fife Coastal Path.
Armchair Bob
The Elie Chain Walk. Great route to take adventurous kids of around 8 years old (do it at low tide so you aren't prosecuted for endangering child safety...) http://airdrierambler.wordpress.com/beyond-airdrie/east-of-airdrie/elie-chain-walk/
