Spirit of bannockburn
We took English notes over in March, exchanged them there & got a better rate
TartanSpice
Is it better to use a bank card over there and incur a transaction fee (?) or to take £100 in English notes and exchange there?
Al2014
if you are talking about 100 to 200 quid its not going to make much difference either way i dont think...
BAS2013
Got 5.11 in Ramsdens yesterday, but they only had 100 Zloty notes so gonna have to get that broken down at a polish bank or something when I arrive. They also only had enough to fulfil half my order, so have to pick up the rest on Friday. Any delay to the delivery and someones going to have to volunteer to buy me some beer

Flure
Bear in mind that the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal will take any Polish coins or notes that you may come back with - and will add it to their funds so that they can continue with their donations at EVERY Scotland away game - to a suitable children's charity. All in the name of Scotland fans. The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal have been doing this, uninterrupted, since 2003. This will be consecutive donation No 52. With relevance to this, i think i read somewhere that you are prohibited from bringing coins into the stadium??, you could perhaps set up a collection point somewhere for the troops to get rid of any loose change en route to stadium? We did this in Serbia for the same reason - that we were told that coins would not be allowed in. We had agreed with the people from the Orphan's Village that some kids would stand outside the stadium and collect coins for the Village. In the event, two things happened. 1. It snowed, the temperature plummeted and it wouldn't have been practical to have the kids standing out in the cold like that. 2. No-one checked about us taking coins in. So, we would have got the best part of hee-haw anyway. And, can someone who was in Warsaw in March, confirm my memory that we weren't checked for coins there either?
