Thinking back the coverage was a bit random from that campaign. IIRC... Norway away - live on TV Yugoslavia home - not live Cyprus away - live on TV France home - live on TV Cyprus home - not live Yugoslavia away - live on TV France away - not live Norway home - live on TV I think the SFA used to offer games to the tv once the tickets had sold out. Would explain why the live home games had over 60k crowds. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_–_UEFA_Group_5 Edited March 10, 2019 by Toepoke

Now I think about it, I went to most of the home games, so I probably wouldn't have noticed if they were on TV or not anyway.
Mitre
North Terracing for me as well that night. It was that wet my programme disintegrated in my inside pocket.

Only surpassed by the Liechtenstein home win (frustration, embarrassed cold sweat, then comedy-relief emoticon inserted here). ...I link the two out of heartfelt sympathy for the opposition. So come to think of it, I do like yer OP better That Lichtenstein game is the only Scotland game I've left early when the result was in the balance. Was scunnered with Avril, would have sacked him there and then and saved us misery.
