  1. I heard the tradition is that way around, such that if strips clash, then the away team don't have to drive all the way home to find replacements.
  2. Or, this may suit depending on where you are staying: 200E bus to Kőbánya–Kispest metro terminus, then change to the metro and take the M3 line towards Újpest-Központ. (This route suits me since I'll be staying along the M3 line between the stadium and the city centre.) BKK ticket machines are just outside the airport door, as are the 100E/200E bus stops. If anyone's staying for a few days and needs to hop on and off transport, then the "Budapest 7-day Travel card" may be worth getting, and it costs HUF4950 which is about £14 and includes the airport transfers plus all trams/buses/metro. http://www.bkk.hu/en/tickets-and-passes/prices/ http://www.urbanrail.net/eu/hu/budapest/budapest.htm I gave up waiting for us to draw Hungary and took a city break last autumn
  3. From 26/Mar/2005 here ... http://www.rsssf.com/tabless/scot-intres2005.html to 11/Oct/2006 here... http://www.rsssf.com/tabless/scot-intres2010.html
  4. As my dad used to say, Rugby is a game. Football is serious. (May have been listening to Shankly.)
  5. $FA ...well maybe not. Won't make much difference to the home gate.
  6. Have never walked out on a football game, but have switched the TV off on that and am listening to open all mic's now. So frustrating to watch so many errors come back in the rugby.
  7. Never been fond of the current colour scheme. Far too much red.
  8. OK, airport by lunchtime Friday! Hopefully not tooooo bad
  9. 'k'n hell hen. So wummin do get mid life crisis after all! Right, I'm gettin' her a parachute giftie for her birthday. What else would you suggest on the bucket(-o-wine) list
  10. A. Bawbags behind the scenes just cast him aside, or B. We thought they were playing poker, but they just threw in their two-deuce hand... ...I know feck all about cards/gamblin' btw C. ?
  11. I'm wondering how to police harvesters of home game points. Sample pick-ups for instance would be unlikely to catch anyone.
  12. I was thinking of you Barney as I wrote that. Jealous as I say As for they fekkers living next to Luton Airport...
  13. I've been jealous for a while of ex-pats. So easy to pick up away pints when you live in mainland Europe. Getting in and out of here is the fekkin' key to away games. Check KLM pricing ffs! (Some) points for home supporters too is the cry!
  14. It's their winter in Peru in June so not too hot. Average 20C in Lima and probably cloudy. Mexico City on the other hand...
  15. Maybe. Looks like Dylan picked Red, Red Rose as his most influential lyric for an HMV advertising campaign. And if Paxman doesn't like it, I'm wi Bob.
  16. Could be that Peru's chief executive hasn't told his manager yet. Imagine such dysfunction
  17. Perfidious Albion. Need some fact checking here. Does the Rev. do this side?
  18. Looks like they still need to qualify, going by pot 1 I was just looking at... http://www.footballseeding.com/international-tournaments/euro-2020/
  19. Just noticed that Euro2020 qualifiers' seeding will be based on Nations League position too. To be in pot3 for that, we need to win this or be one of the best two runners up.
  20. Yes, Albania & Israel respectively. What's this Sweden patter?
  21. I'd take McLeish. He owes us, and maybe thinks he has unfinished business. Pehaps we can get Scotty on to tell us about the prodigal son
  22. Albania & Israel were in same WC group and finished 3rd & 4th to Spain & Italy, so not much to learn there: no surprises. Albania qualified for the last Euros of course, 2nd to Portugal, ahead of Denmark, Serbia & Armenia. Then finished their group ahead of Romania. Away wins seem their speciality! Israel did nearly as well as us.
