  1. Don't exactly need to be Vinnie Jones to pick up 2 yellows over the space of 10 games. Stupidly harsh. Right answer would be to clear any yellows after 5 games.
  2. Interesting that he seems to be available for Tuesday but ruled himself out of the Kazakhstan game. Will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that whatever injury problem he had 2 years ago is now no longer an issue.
  3. Expect Christie to come in for Adams. Back 3 will revert to Hendry, Hanley and Tierney. Decision is then whether to leave out Mcgregor or McTominay from the midfield 3. My guess is he'll leave out Mcgregor as he's only just back from injury.
  4. Another one agreeing with this. It's excellent. Loved all the ones in the build up to the Euros.
  5. By the time the game comes around it'll be a lateral flow 2 days after returning rather than a PCR, assuming Scotland implements the same rules as England.
  6. As things stand you need a worthy reason for entering the Faroe Islands and attending a football match is not considered a worthy reason. If I had been organising a trip out there then I'd have been cancelling it as well.
  7. McCormack was brilliant for Fulham. Should've got loads more caps during that time of his career. Complete flop when he went to Villa though.
  8. Ship has sailed on call ups now. 9am Monday was the deadline for covid testing. O'Donnell and Patterson both available for Saturday so no point calling up another right back now.
  9. I'd be blaming the SFA staff rather than O'Donnell. Someone on the admin side should've been aware of the rules for entering Denmark and known last week that he wouldn't be able to travel.
  10. I'm not sure. This is going to be backs to the wall. My guess is he'll move Tierney out there. Wouldn't be surprised if he changes to a back 4 either.
  11. Tough call for RWB. Either Ryan fraser or move Tierney out there and bring in Cooper or Mckenna at LCB.
  12. Unfortunately that's not almost sold out. A lot of those unavailable sections have not went on sale so will be completely empty as things stand.
  13. I know someone this happened to. Went to Croatia for a long weekend. Tested positive while in Croatia. Had to sort out and pay for 10 night's accommodation in Croatia suitable for someone with covid, change flights, take time off work etc. I'd only be travelling abroad at the moment if I absolutely had to.
  14. I can't see anything changing regarding uefa's position on away fans between now and November. Fully expect it to be home games only for this campaign.
  15. Be amazed if we get tickets for either of the September away games.
  16. And yet the myth that we always do well against the top sides still persists in some people's heads

    England

They're an excellent team. Be a great result if we get anything when we go there in September.
  18. I’m going to throw in set pieces as a huge disappointment. We had the players together for weeks and yet there was absolutely zero invention on our set pieces. Did we do any work on them at all? Every one just thrown into the box and usually came to nothing. Didn’t even see any efforts to block runners or give the opposition anything to think about.
  19. Sweden have attacking players playing for real sociedad, juventus and RB leipzig. We have nothing like that quality in forward positions.
  20. Mcginn was brilliant against England when we played two deeper midfielders and let mcginn stay central and further up the park. Need to stick that system from now on and stop trying to squeeze Armstrong and mcginn into the same midfield.
  21. Plenty of reasons for optimism. We have probably 5 players of real quality; Tierney, Robertson, McTominay, Gilmour and mcginn. Unfortunately two are left backs and the other 3 are midfielders, but it's still a decent base to build a team around as all of them should be around til at least the next euros. Biggest problem is clearly scoring goals. Over the last few years, most of our goals have come from attacking midfield players rather than out and out strikers (mcginn, fraser, Christie). Playing two up front is therefore not the way forward in my view. Adams with a fraser/Christie playing off him and mcginn supporting is the way to go. Not overly concerned about the keeper situation. Wales are doing fine with a keeper that's barely played any football for the last 3 years.
  22. Was clearly not down to any single player that we lost. However he was rotten. Cooper, Hendry and Gallacher all better options based on last night's showing.
  23. Amazed that anyone would be banging the drum for Mckenna starting after last night
  24. Totally agree. For the last 2 or 3 years, mcginn has been our best midfielder and our biggest goal threat. Complete waste to play him deep. The system we played on Friday gets the best out of him. For me that means McTominay back in midfield alongside Mcgregor against Croatia.
