  1. Yesterday
  2. I've not seen anything confirming Patterson has had the op or recovery timescale. Which is strange as there numerous quotes confirming he needed an op. Could he be waiting it out in the hope it's not required?
  3. All depends what post he offers her I doubt she will accept anything less than Finance Secretary and Deputy FM
  4. I think Ralston will stand a good chance of making the squad. Just have to hope hickey makes it although he might struggle to be match sharp considering he's not played much.
  5. I’ve never seen Hendry play right back before although he does seem to have the attributes to maybe do a job there. Would need to see it live rather than guessing about it. I think with the injuries at RB, Ralston certainly is going to be considered along with 1/2 others - McCrorie & Johnstone being those two. Although that’s if Hickey doesn’t recover in time. Out of those three McCrorie is the only one that’s been playing regularly. Although correct me if I’m wrong but Ralston’s only ever start for us was when he made his debut and scored in that game against Armenia? Did pretty well in that game although I know it’s nowhere near the standard of opponent we are going to be up against this summer but you can only play against what’s in front of you.
  6. Don’t know how far Hickey is in his recovery. Reports from up here seem to suggest he will make it in time whilst the ones down south seem to think it’s 50-50. Then again, if he does make it then firstly I will be absolutely delighted but pressing concern would be how far off match sharpness he will be & with that do you throw him in right away in the firing line against potentially someone like Leroy Sane. For example if he plays in the opening game against Germany, then can see the Germans targeting our right side knowing that he will be miles off match fitness having not played any football for over 6 months. Hence why I hope if he does return, then it’s sooner than that Germany game so we can give him some a good amount of minutes in the Gibraltar & Finland friendlies. I think Tierney is on the doubtful list. We don’t know the full extent of his groin injury other than it can take between 4 weeks - 14 weeks to heal. Again hope he makes it but it’s just a pity that the guys body can break down as easily as snapping a poppadom in half. McTominay certainly has more than a 50% likelihood (thank goodness). Ten Hag mentioned in his presser earlier today that he is due to return to training on Saturday and will see if there is a chance of him playing against Crystal Palace on the Monday. I personally hope not just in case he hasn’t fully properly healed & a risk of him aggravating his knee, but if there is any small chance of him being available for that game then of course he’s going to give him some minutes. Don’t trust Ten Hag one bit when it comes to managing players’ fitness & their recoveries (Lisandro Martinez & Mason Mount prime examples). If he does play him then I will be watching it with both my fingers & toes crossed that he comes through unscathed.
  7. Can jack hendry cover right back? Also is Ralston worth calling up again? Not sure if he's been playing regularly for Celtic.
  8. It's not just that he didn't score goals he was generally poor with assists and performances were average(being kind) nearly every game barring 3 or 4 games. Obviously those 2 games he was brilliant and I will give him credit for that.
  9. You ever seen some of the defending in the spl? It's comical at times. Not to mention how poor some of the other aspects are like fitness and technique are. Look how poor the non old firm teams do in Europe. Regardless of wether a country has had an easier path they can still be of similar standard to us. Countries like USA, Canada and mexico had MLS players. Cameroon, Uruguay and Costa rica also. There's heaps of countries that didn't qualify who are of similar standard to us who rely on MLS players as well. There's probably dozens of established international footballers in the MLS. How many established internationals play in the spl? If you take out the old firm there's probably only a handful. Even with the old firm theres probably less than 15. Why are you using Ramirez at Aberdeen. His stats were hardly stellar in the MLS and he did reasonably well at Aberdeen. You have pulled out a couple of guys that haven't made the transition from MLS to the spl as an example of why the spl is better. Thats hardly a very conclusive. Also there's guys like Stuart Findlay and Gary Mackay Steven who struggled in the MLS after being relatively successful in the spl. I would rather go by how many established international footballers each league has playing or by what I see with my own eyes in terms of technique and tempo of games. Also what guys have struggled in the spl and went onto be stars in the MLS? Morgans the only one I can think of and even he had some decent performances for Celtic. Also Morgan didn't suddenly start doing well once he moved to the MLS. It's taken him a couple seasons at least to establish himself as a good player there. End of the day the MLS isn't a great standard but the idea that we can overlook players from there is daft when loads of similar level nations pick players from there. And if you think we are vastly superior to Canada or USA then go take a look at their squads and get back to me. This isn't the 80s or 90s anymore.
  10. Did anyone else notice it is only the Rangers goalscorers that get their full names listed ? They were able to get away with the bias then as there were no phone ins or Tambs
  11. Funny thing is that going by the quality of scorers the league was times better then.
  12. I was at the game as my current only visit to Pittodrie. The crowd was made up pretty much all of locals from memory and loads of kids attending their first and possibly only Scotland game, a lot wearing Aberdeen gear. So many of them may have bought programmes as souvenirs. You might have better luck on an Aberdeen forum. With the SFA buying Hampden a few years ago I find it unlikely that they will ever play home games anywhere else unless they can't avoid it. Used to enjoy an odd trip over to Easter Road for a friendly.
  13. The way I read it is the only players from the current injured list we can have more than a 50% likelihood of returning for the Euros are Tierney, Hickey and (depending on what reports you hear) McTominay. Anyone else of note looks to be doubtful at best
  14. 2 tickets for Scot v Hungary (cat 1 400 euro each). Looking to swap for tickets for Turkey v Portugal and Spain V Italy if anyone wants to.

  15. I remember going with my Buddie buddy and his old man to Ibrox circa 1984. The Broomloan Stand was shut and the St Mirren fans were in part of the Govan Stand. Crowd was definitely sub 10,000.
  16. Despite this week being a car crash I am actually quite positive. We have come out other side in better shape. The toxic and unpopular green coalition is ended Swiney in charge until next election. Swiney is dull but arguably better than Yousaf? Labour going to win back what ever happens. Kate Forbes keeping powder dry for 2026 at Holyrood. SNP could / should still be largest party at Holyrood. While I wanted Forbes as leader it is not a terrible state of affairs. As mentioned above John Swiney likely the patsy who is going to take flak for the Sturgeon saga and a couple of dodgy elections to come. Forbes is only 35 and her day will come sooner rather than later now.
  17. I have two tickets for this game, you looking to swap something or buy?
  18. Hi I have one spare ticket for Hungary game fans first, looking to swap for Switzerland if anyone out there can help.
  19. I don't know. But I don't remember people being troubled by him in this way.
  20. Ok I see what you mean but you did say "Only the loony fringe would have a problem with Kate Forbes in power." But it's a fact that many people do have a problem with her, among those are those who are defending gay marriage and gay rights. If you say 'only the loony fringe' then that must include them. I only mention it because someone somewhere said something like they didn't understand why someone would have anything against KF. I am just pointing out this is a real reason, felt sincerely by some people, who are not a loony fringe. BTW I'm not otherwise commenting on her suitability. As I say, that's a matter for SNP members.
  21. I'm happy for the decision and debate to be for SNP members, I'd just prefer that debate (for everyone's sake) to be between two more viable looking candidates representing the future.
  22. I managed to get two tickets for Slovenia and Serbia on the 20th in Munich long shot but if anyone has any SPARE Scotland tickets for either Switzerland or hungry I'd swap , think about those who maybe still around Munich and want another game to take in .
  23. There was evidence of clear bias the last time What about this leadership election ?
  24. Looking for two I managed to get two tickets for Slovenia and Serbia on the 20th in Munich long shot but if anyone has any SPARE Scotland tickets for either Switzerland or hungry I'd swap , think about those who maybe still around Munich and want another game to take in .
  25. Porteous to Udinese rumours again. Seems likely given the Watford connection.
