runningtings
I was thinking about this earlier, I work in IT and periodically get emails offering relocation packages. Switzerland seems to offer the best standard of living and is pretty central for access. Its very tempting now, just totally disgusted at 55% of the Scottish people. Hessen
Germany...it's how you always wanted your region to be...and the beer is good, plus eating out is very cheap....and it's clean, and the community spirit is still intact...and friendly too! Guest flumax
Northern Irish mate who's lived in Scotland all his adult life has packed his bags left Aberdeen, took his cv and moved in with his Swedish gf in Stockholm. He's a computer guy and is certain he'll get a job soon. In his words "can't live in a country with naebaws"
antidote
I cannot live in this region anymore. Where's half decent to live in Europe? I've been looking at Spain, but after the Spanish government intervention in our democratic right I'm considering Catalonia. I have no fixed assets here and I have new baby coming at Christmas, want it to be born here in Scotland. I also have 2 other children aged 2 & 3 (3 year old today) and I'm determined that I don't pay taxes, or they, to help the old or the sponging blue noses. After the new baby is born I'm seriously looking for property overseas and then all 5 of us are off. Maybe that will make room for more immigrants that the unionist scum don't like. jockodile
Australia or Canada are the obvious choices. Half of the 20-30ish population of Eire seem to live in Sydney thesedays.

thplinth
Seriously though what do you reckon? Canada, New Zealand, Oz, Somewhere in the EU? NZ is the most attractive geographically but it is so isolated flying wise... German burds are deeply hot IMHO and always have been. Norway rocks but could you master the lingo? Isn't Catalonia still part of Spain? You'll still be here in 10 years. After you have kids it isn't easy to move away. Why not move next week though?
