Robroysboy
Don't think England could get by Italy, Spain or Germany. So it's a no chance from me.
Johnnyshaker
Serious discussion on England in TA Specific? TA Specific? To reiterate this point, why is this thread in TA Specific? We have far bigger issues affecting us than whether a country next door wins a tournament.

scottincarlisle
All we should be worrying about is that we failed to qualify for a 24 team tournament. Only 8 teams go out after the group stage so I'd think anyone ( including England ) that's in the last 16 will fancy their chances.
Guest allyc
Utterly downgraded the euros by increasing it to 24 teams.while we are so shyte we cannot even qualify.

I agree. 16 was the correct number of teams. Half the continent qualifying is pointless.

Chesney Hawkes TA
With the pace they have and ability to move the ball quickly from defence to attack then they defiitely have an opportunity to beat a decent team or two. Think they'd need to discover a better quality holding midfielder or two though by the end of this season to have a chance of winning it. Carrick looks ok for United against gash in the PL and internationally but as soon as he's up against decent midfielders then his limitations are evident. Barkley and Alli have them sorted further forward in midfield for years but they need that same quality sitting behind them to be genuine contenders. Nobby
No England always bottle it when it comes down to it Quarter Finals at most. On that basis you will never qualify again !!!!

radian_13
We should ask Conmebol to give us one of their 2 invites to be in the next Copa America. In the USA next year or Brazil in 2019, I'd be keen !

Malcolm
England are light years ahead of us just now. The simple truth is that we have become a backwater of world football where our national team is in the bottom half of europe and our club champions are bottom of the diddie cup. This is us reaping what the sfa sowed 20 to 30 years ago.

Green_Tide_Rising
England are light years ahead of us just now. The simple truth is that we have become a backwater of world football where our national team is in the bottom half of europe and our club champions are bottom of the diddie cup. This is us reaping what the sfa sowed 20 to 30 years ago. England are well ahead of the other 4 nations in the Great Britain and Ireland not just Scotland (so dont be hard on yereselves over your current situation) .... but that is due to the fact they have a bigger and better domestic league with greater financing than the rest of us have and thus a bigger and better quality pool of player to chose from. But in terms of England versus the bigger and better european football nations...England are still behind them in terms of the technical aspect of the game.. While England have plans in place to change that in the future...their current senior batch of players are well behind in that aspect when they compare to the better european senior international teams and it is because of this.....they have no chance of winning EURO 2016 Edited November 28, 2015 by Green_Tide_Rising
