Hi folks, Just bought and printed 2 tickets from the Gib FA ticketing site tonight for my son and I, painless process. We are both on zero points and having booked flights and hotel, bus to match etc, not prepared to miss out on ticket, so just have to forgo possible away point this time.

I e mailed the SFA last night and they replied today, both mails below, they say they have not yet received their allocation for the game and once they do will mail out to SSC with sales plan.

Anyway happy days, jigsaw complete for us. Amazing though that tickets on sale and Sfa still await allocation!! Hope info below of some use to those trying to decide what to do. Bill T.

Hi There

We have not received our allocation for this match yet.

As soon as we have any further information we will email out the supporters club with a sales schedule.

Best wishes

Hi , e mail from William Thomson SSC No xxxxxxx

I understand that the SFA have been allocated 9800 tickets for the Gibraltar Scotland game. How soon are these likely to go on sale please ? My quandary is that we are both on zero points and the Gibraltar FA already have tickets on sale for home / mixed sections which I can purchase now on line. If I wait until the SFA put tickets on sale and they are not then available to zero pointers then we may land up with no tickets at all. A big gamble having already forked out A lot of money for flights and accommodation. Any information on plans / timescale for sale of Ssc tickets would be appreciated? IMany Thanks. Bill Thomson

Yeah 1ANDYP, I know we may have jumped the gun but we now have the tickets secured, would rather have got them through Ssc but having booked everything else already the Sfa reply to my mail made my mind up to buy now. Suppose at worst it possibly leaves two more tickets for someone else in ssc on zero points if all goes well and allocation reaches 0 points.

Anyway We are in section S13 ,centre upper section away/mixed stand, and just for info for anyone else at the zero point end of things thinking about booking/using this route, tickets once printed state "only home supporters will be allowed in home sectors which are in main stand S4,S3,S2,S1. Non home fans may be refused entry."

Looking forward now to the gathering in Portugal!! And great remaining results beforehand and in algarve!!

cheers Bill T

I'm in S13 too, looks a good view and already seems full of what I assume are Scotland fans.

Might take my SSC tickets if they're available to get the point cos they're not expensive.

Decided on doing this last minute. I'm an ssc member on 0 points.

I'm also pretty lazy and wouldnt mind a pointer in the following directions :

Flights - Cheapest with? Looking at going from Edinburgh - to?

Where should I stay and is it easy to get to the stadium?

Thanks.

Stay - it depends on how long you are going for. A lot of people going for a week and are staying in Albufeira. If you're just going for a day or 2, probably better being closer to Faro.

Stadium is a wee bit north of Faro. Easy to get to in a taxi, but you'll struggle to get back after the game, unless you have something prebooked, or every taxi in the region decides to take a punt and sit outside the stadium. Seems to be a few spaces left on buses from various locations. Check out all the other posts on here.
