min
I really struggle to get into the Davis Cup, but agree - what an atmosphere! Cracking match between Ward and Isner - now in the deciding set.

biffer
Just on the train back to Edinburgh after being at the Emirates today. What a fantastic game and an atmosphere to match. GB 2-0 up with three games to play. Can't see Isner beating Murray on today's performance. Next round will be at home too, v France or Germany. irnbruman
Always like to see Andy Murray winning and good to hear Loch Lomond - but otherwise its a Billy Britfest - full of fooking UJs - makes me peuk
biffer
Always like to see Andy Murray winning and good to hear Loch Lomond - but otherwise its a Billy Britfest - full of fooking UJs - makes me peuk I was genuinely concerned for the safety of those guys in Union Jack suits walking around Parkhead at 9pm on a Friday night. There were plenty of saltines about, and it was very noticeable that not many people were singing GSTQ before the match yesterday.

Generally yesterday I heard far more about individual players and very little GB chanting
sonofoi
Why are some of the doubles specialists unable to translate their ability to be top ranked singles players like the Bryan brothers, Jamie Murray etc?
redstevie007
Why are some of the doubles specialists unable to translate their ability to be top ranked singles players like the Bryan brothers, Jamie Murray etc? I've often wondered that. Who were the doubles guys (the 'Woody's or something?) who won everything in sight in the 00's but they either weren't any good at singles or didn't even bother? Rossy
It's a Brit fest....although I suspect the vast majority (or all) of the butchers aprons are placed there in advance. I'm surprised that they haven't Mary Berry doing the commentary.

Woodforde and Woodbridge... http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Woodies Not forgetting McNamara / McNamee. I can only think it's a totally different version of the same game, like Sevens v Rugby Union, not all players are good at both...

irnbruman
Why does living outside Scotland make anyone less Scottish Larky? At least its not the We arra People's enclave of Larkhall. Back to the tennis - anyone else feel uncomfortable with the waving of UJS along with the Proclaimer's music. Bastards are hijacking it.
Rossy
eh... its Britain v USA Yeap. And you don't think it's excuse to push the idea of 'Britishness' ? There are a group sitting next to each other that are shown on TV after every shot, all wearing 'Back the Brits' T-shirts. No-one else has these t-shirts.....looks to me like they're a group planted in, to be front and centre on TV, to start the 'when the Brits go marching in ' songs. You obviously weren't around during the BritNat propaganda campaign that was the referendum.
