Glasgowmancity
I know there's a few posters on here from the Preston area. Can anyone recommend any decent pubs or clubs for a Saturday night in Preston City Centre? Cheers
Charlie Endell
I don't know about the hip 'n' happening places but the Black Horse is one of my favourite boozers. Also the Bluebell up towards the prison (if it's still there, a few years since I've been in*). The Continental is a bit out the road (below the main railway bridge that runs south out of the station) but had a good selection of real ales (if you like 'em...) last time I was in. Edit: *the Bluebell that is, not the prison. Edited February 23, 2015 by Charlie Endell

The Railway isn't really a Celtic pub now. Celtic fans tend to go in The Sun Hotel.

The Railway is now The Station and it's totally different. Where the stage used to be is now seating and they no longer hold 'Irish folk music' sessions on a Sunday night. Oh, and the Guinness isn't a patch on what it used to be.
Glasgowmancity
Tokyo Joes is the place for you... jimstroma
Tokyo Joes is the place for you... I remember going there 20 odd years ago. Is it still open? We went for a long weekend, canny remember much about Preston, but I am sure we played on a plastic pitch at Deepdale and the pub we went to gave us a lock in until about 5 in the morning. irnbruman
The Station has a singles night on a Saturday once a month full of munters - you might be in with a chance.

Bzzzz
What's the purpose of the trip? Lads night? Stag? With the burd? Nobody in their right mind would want to take the burd to Preston. unless you were trying to get rid of her that is...

teecee-
Visited Station/Railway bar many times, even watched OF game in it. Has it still got pool tables?
Charlie Endell
Visited Station/Railway bar many times, even watched OF game in it. Has it still got pool tables? Think so! Through the back. It was much better when it was the Railway. Have used it a few times recently when I've had time to kill between trains on the way back from Manchester. teecee-
Aye real handy for that, 2 hours to spare and always a mad rush for Glasgow train. Downhill thankfully.
Charlie Endell
It helpfully has a screen showing live train times - if the Glasgow train is running late it's time to order another pint (although always a sensible move to double check on the Trainline app).
