Think the keeper situation is getting pretty desperate.

Marshall will be fighting to be Derby no 1 but definitely not guaranteed.

When McGregor is fit, McLaughlin will be demoted to no 2.

At best Bain is number 2 at Celtic

Gordon's season doesn't start until October and will be playing championship football.

Liam Kelly finished as no 2 for QPR after a few howlers towards end of season. But maybe with Warbarton taking a bigger interest in the Scotland National team he might start with him as number 1.

So for the first two matches in September either got to be a call up for Alain or an elevation for McCrorie if he does well at Livi, although his replacement last week looked very good.

He’s played less than 80 league games at 28 if his Wikipedia is up to date

Even though it's nice to hear about eligible overseas players & some keepers do peak later a 28 year old with only 80 starts is warning enough not to get over excited in this case.

Not so sure that McGrrgor will get the Jersey back.

Somebody mentioned Alain a couple of weeks ago and from what I could find out it appeared that he got enough satisfaction coaching kids not to bother becoming the best he could himself as a keeper. Their is an interview on YouTube and he sounds like some one who would enjoy life no matter what.

A cap or 2 would suck that feeling out of him

Wasn't there a Spanish goalie who professed he wanted to play for us once?

Ian Mackay

Half Spanish/half Scots. Didn't even speak any English but was madly keen to play for us bless him. That would have been about 2006 or 2007 when he popped up.

He's been playing deep down in the Spanish lower leagues for years now.

Yeah, I read that he couldn't speak English either, even though he has four half sisters in Aberdeen!
