  1. Great final. Worthy winners. Noticed a few TA cheering on the All Blacks
  2. This site here lets you check the ages of many airlines' fleets. http://www.airsafe.com/events/airlines/fleetage.htm BA are still flying 747s delivered in 1990. Although as I mentioned long haul planes tend to have longer service....
  3. Mind that game, Peter Weir was being bigged up prior to it and had a stinker... Edit... now I check back it was actually another game I'm thinking about in Belfast in 1980, when Weir was still at St Mirren.
  4. Some interview. "Nothing to say". "Nothing to say". "Nothing to say". "Nothing to say".
  5. It's down to the number of flights it makes rather than the age. Short haul planes don't last as long in that respect, more flights therefore more pressurisation stress. 18 years is getting on a bit but not extremely old by charter airline standards...
  6. An A321. The wings would've been built in the UK. Scary stuff, you tend to think this kind of thing doesn't happen to modern airliners...
  7. It wasn't until reading the Damned United that I discovered they were previously called Hartlepools United...
  8. Holding cards in the air during a Remembrance silence certainly doesn't sit right with me. But clearly plenty of folk were happy to do it...
  9. Got it paused at the start at the moment. Think I'll spool through to the bits where Billy Bragg speaks...
  10. That Porto stadium looks amazing right enough. 100m Euros though. Would probably have been at least double that to build here the way UK infrastructure projects were run in the 90s...
  11. Former Tory MP so no great surprise there. Lord Lloyd-Webber being flown across the Atlantic to vote to hammer the poor of the UK stuck in the craw a bit more...
  12. I wonder if those figures were maintained closer to the referendum Scots unionists who would vote to stay in the EU will switch to vote to leave, to try and make sure we vote the same way as the rUK?...
  13. Had it years ago when I worked in Bratislava. Absolutely murder, was sitting in a hotel room with my ipod cranked to 11 and still could barely hear a thing. Eventually went to a Slovak doctor who got it syringed. Instant relief! The amount of gunk that came out was unreal Had it again here last year but now they don't recommend syringing due to the potential to damage the sensitive parts of the ear. So it has to be Otex ear drops, which do the job but you just have to be patient, it can take a few days of drops going in to clear it...
  14. You've got to go for a thermal bath in Budapest. This one is the best for visitors... http://www.szechenyibath.hu/
  15. Hansen's stock must've been damaged severely by the feck up against the USSR. Looking back at his caps after that he got a few games in the dire Euro 84 campaign but never featured in the World Cup 86 group, save for the home game v Wales we lost, where he refused to give Stein advice on how to stop Ian Rush.
  16. Certainly I think if we'd made a solo bid for 2008 we'd have been the smallest host of a major finals since Uruguay in 1930 (when not many of the factors affecting hosting a modern tournament were relevant)...
  17. Roxy brought Hansen back into the team after Fergie snubbed him for Mexico. Didn't make too many appearances, maybe for reasons given by Jagtag...
  18. Wrong. Both goals were against Championship teams I wouldn't have him as a striker, rather an alternative to Forrest or Ritchie. Like I said worth a run out in a friendly...
