  1. You wouldn't want to get lost there though!
  2. What a goal! Great shot of the owners celebrating too. The BBC couldn't have scripted it better!
  3. Anyone who thinks St John doesn't care about Scotland should watch this clip...
  4. Russia have suspended flights in and out of Sharm pending further investigation. If it was malicious whoever did it has achieved their goal of paralysing the Egyptian tourist industry...
  5. Aye. It started out as On The Ball the section on ITV's World of Sport to rival Football Focus on Grandstand. Brian Moore presented it and the Saint would occasionally fill in for him, Jimmy Greaves would be dragged out as a comedy foil and the two of them seemed to strike up a bond, so the show was eventually renamed in their honour, probably around 1985. It was interesting to hear that in the tv double act tradition of the Likely Lads or Steptoe and Son despite their on screen rapport they weren't particularly close away from the studio.
  6. Is that not a bit like saying Govan is one of Scotland's largest towns without a senior team?...
  7. Anyone got an idea of Molde's budget compared with Scottish Premier teams?...
  8. Celtic seem to start every European game like a whirlwind then it falls apart...
  9. It's been 10 years but I used to take the train from Bratislava to Vienna regularly. Bratislava station is pretty close to the old town too.(I just noticed the old Sudbahnhof in Vienna has been demolished, so there's no station confusion there now!) Hopefully it's a more modern train now, it used to be a rattley hour or so. The boat from Vienna would be a bit of a novelty but it's a kind of dull til you get near the border. The Danube is more scenic from Bratislava to Budapest. The weather in October can be ok, it certainly shouldn't be freezing unless there's a very early taste of winter....
  10. 16 team league for me. 30 games a season is more than enough...
  11. I'll cut Cameron and the Foreign Office some slack here. If there were any doubts over security at the airport better to allow some time to investigate further before giving it the all clear to fly to the UK.
  12. We are of course still jumping to the conclusion that it actually was a bomb. Still nothing from the accident investigation to suggest it was...
  13. Went around a decade ago and enjoyed it although never felt totally at ease, especially at this location.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxor_massacre In the main it was a friendly place although you could tell security was tight especially at the hotel (the guys at the front door had a frightening arsenal at their disposal!) There were Russians everywhere too, it's clearly a favourite place for them to escape the winter.
  14. Barry Bannan v Lithuania is the last time I can remember the crowd singing a player's name in big numbers. Tbh I'm not sure I can remember too many player songs going way back to the 80s. Did Kenny Dalglish even have a song about him?...
  15. It'll be interesting to see the effects of this law change... http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/03/ireland-is-moving-towards-decriminalising-small-amounts-of-drugs-5478011/
  16. I don't believe they're holding any SFA trophies at the moment. A few flags on the wall could be on shaky pegs though...
  17. Preliminary tests have found no explosive residue... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/11974107/Russian-plane-crash-latest-news.html
  18. A couple of cups most mornings for me. Douwe Egberts instant normally. The freshly ground stuff tastes great but involves too much rigmarole. It definitely does give you a wee boost, for proof of that try drinking a cup at bedtime!
