  1. The last time I was there was 6 or 7 years ago but the Dreel tavern was the best pub we went too. Good selection of ales and whisky.
  2. Probably because of the age I was at the time I loved 90s music. The last one reminds of some 'interesting' joints I visited when I first moved to Bristol when I was 17. Good times. https://youtu.be/IBH97ma9YiI https://youtu.be/KFnvkypksPI?list=PLIF0xQ52m3qY4BMU-IaD4nbNxPCfLfmAz https://youtu.be/ch_VPnbpkqc https://youtu.be/z_VKMWs2eaI
  3. Got a ticket for the quarter final. Lots of availability now compared to a couple of weeks back when there was none available. Not sure, but I think the fans of one of the big guns might have been banking on them winning group A.
  4. The skill of doing the gay gordons whilst holding pinkies with a honker is an understated achievement.
  5. Was going to buy a ticket for the match on Viagogo on Saturday for £35. Thought I would check with the mrs before completing the purchase, between getting approval from the entertainment secretary and getting back to the computer Japan had won and the price had gone up £170.
  6. Whilst I agree that Fletcher is a better option than Griffiths on his own up front, for holding the ball up and linking the play, the best I've seen in recent years playing that role was Naismith away to Macedonia. I would like to see him up there himself again, very good in the air for his size too.
  7. Looking to take the family away to the sun next summer and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of places they have stayed with kids. Looking at the likes of Majorca and Menorca, i.e flights up to 3 hours duration due to the pain of flying with young ones. Kids will be 2 and 5 at that point so looking for somewhere with a good pool etc ans some form of entertainment. Doesn't necessarily need to be all inclusive but i think I would prefer that but open to suggestions. Cheers BK
  8. Down this way the ale world is thriving. Plenty of independants around but do like a St Austell's Tribute when I'm down in Cornwall. Luckily it's becoming quite popular up in Bristol and is popping up in a lot of the pubs now.
  9. Pan-Am were the Poundstretcher ones and Astro-Bumpers were another. Remember a few of the kids trying to pass off Jordache as being the next big thing.
  10. He was a cracking player, not in the same class as Scholes for me and went for the Hollywood pass too often. In twenty years he'll be at the equivalent "Legend Level" as Bryan Robson is at Man U.
  11. I think Mid Crater District Council have reduced their austerity measures and have allowed the street lights back on after 11pm.
  12. There is still a risk that you'll lose your pre match bet.
  13. I can't see UKIP getting more than 2 seats. Might get on to Sporting Index and have a look at selling UKIP seats. Haven't been on there for years so don't know if that'll be an option.
  14. If it wasn't for the BBC giving UKIP as much over merited coverage over the years, Farage wouldn't be as high profile as he is today.
  15. North Somerset, I have the pleasure of having Liam Fox as my MP and don't think that is likely to change. Not sure which way to vote, but it certainly won't be voting for Liam.
  16. Was that the one with the bacon, chicken mayo and coleslaw? It was one of my favourites. Still can't beat a piece n jam though, thick with butter. Can also back up the piece n sugar, one of my staples as a boy, or french toast with sugar.
  17. Completely agree, unfortunately, there seems to be a hell of a lot of these idiots about nowadays.
  18. Big Mac Meal. Gone Large. Pepsi. No Ice. Chilled. Jocks Enter. Keep Focused. Throw Fry. Landed. In Hair. Jock Annoyed. Duck Down. Keep Cover. Hold Tight. War Cry. Oi Oi! Jock Orders Meal. Takes Away. Inevitable. Scarpers.
  19. Edinburgh castle with a trip to the Commonwealth Pool thrown in. Culzean castle Blackshaw Farm Kelburn castle Dean castle Ayr Shore Rouken Glen Once a year opportunity to enjoy the gammon roll & Curries Lime Crush combo. Changed days.
