  1. I think the draw is made in December 2019 as normal then the NL winners are then placed in the groups. If we were to qualify I think we would be guaranteed to play 2 of the group game at Hampden. Its set up for us to qualify for the first time in 22 years and all we get is a trip to sunny Glasgow!!
  2. Our group possibly going to take a taxi along to this if the weather is good, which it looks to be. Googled it and found theres a bar right outside the ground as well
  3. This is a nightmare, 7 of us due to fly with them from Gatwick and back Friday/Monday. From having a quick look there are bugger all options to get there now without spending £500 on flights
  4. Mind games, while 19 points probably will be enough (there will be at least one group on 12 or less) there is know way they'll take the chance and settle for a point. While they are a good side they are not a Poland of two years ago and they are playing a very different Scotland team to a year ago. Also on Hamsik I think he's only got past 65 mins once this season.
  5. Can see McGregor being called up now. Case for both, probably as close to Armstrong as we have
  6. No way McGinn will start, Fletcher maybe but Morrison certainly will and think it will be him and Ritchie or Philips with the other one of those to outwide.
  7. McArthur was already in, started the last two games. Would be amazed if Fletcher plays having not kicked a ball for us since Wembley.
  8. Dissapointing but hey a chance for others to stand up, expect Morrison and Ritchie will come in for both and push Philips in behind Griffiths or even put Ritchie in there. Think Fraser could be in with a shout of starting at least one of the games
  9. NI also need Iceland and Wales to fail to make playoffs as well I think
  10. Whittaker certainly and Anya are only there due to Patterson being injured, I'm sure Whittaker knows he's only there as a back up. If Anya wants to be about the squad in the future he needs to start getting games especially if Ralston makes the same quick progress Tierney has.
  11. Brown himself has apparantly said he doesn't think its to bad and should be fine
  12. No shocks really. R. Martin not been in any Norwich squad since the 26th August, at least Grant Hanley has been involved, some what sparingly. Dont expect it to change from Mulrgrew/Berra. Naismith the same as well. Our lack of options at right back with Patterson still out probably why Anya still there.
  13. Brilliant day, really doesn't feel like 10 years ago ?. As a mate said yesterday, could write a book about this trip alone. Arrived on the Monday, 2 days of swally, Tuesday night ended up in some bar/restaurant which was owned by some local TV chef, had a nose bleed which I never get and havn't had since, chefs wife proceeded to help me out, great night had with the staff and punters in the place. Day of the game was just mental from start to finish. Just remember sitting outside some cafe bar at the big roundabout near the ground thinking what the f*ck just happend. Best trip ever.

    2nd Place

We go first but its the first round of matches that could dictate it, for example if Bosnia dont beat Belgium in the first round of matches our 'two wins' will guarantee it regardless of results on the Monday and Tuesday.
  15. This game wont be a cagey affair. Could see there being a few goals in it. Slovakia as mentioned cant and wont take their chanes with a draw and if anything that will suit us.

I'd say based on last nights matches there is more chance of Wales dropping something away to Georgia than there is at home to Ireland.

Stick a £1 on the all the results that would see us miss out and you'll get a nice we holiday and them some next summer ?

Yes you're correct about Greece, though one of their last games is away to Cyprus who just beat Bosnia at home. If the Dutch win both games including a home win v Sweeden they will only have 13 points also. I'm not convinced Wales will win both games, Georgia away is a stinker for them.

    2nd Place

Wales are now the worst 2nd place team on 8 points with a worse goal difference. For us to miss out we would need Bosnia to beat Belgium at home and away at Estonia and Wales to win in Georgia and at home to ROI. There is also scenarios where Macedonia play Denmark in the last game for a shootout for 2nd and Sweeden will have a shootout with the Dutch for 2nd place. Of those 6 games there is bound to be a draw or defeat somewhere that would benefit us. History would suggest that there will be at least 1 team with 13 or less points.
  20. I can see Morrison pushing McArthur with a run of games over the next 3 weeks at West Brom. One of Fraser, Ritchie, Snoddy (again with a run of games) should be ousting Forrest. The inverted winger system just doen't work against teams like Malta, it may well work better against the likes of Slovakia and Slovenia where there should be a bit more space.
  21. 2007 we beat Faroes, Lithunia, France and Ukraine
  22. Job done, that was the main aim. Not great by any stretch but I hate us playing teams like that and no bookings either. Philips was poor, wouldn't say he's not up to it, his peformance on Friday would suggest he is. GS should have changed it up a bit and played Fraser and Ritchie from the start, he did say that in his post match interview. Injuries dictated the subs through the game. Excellent week, if someone had given you a 5-0 win over the two game you'd have taken it. Bring on Slovakia.

Think in NI would also need Wales not to make a late surge as well. NI could bank a playoff over the next 3 games making them a seeded or possibly pick up 1/2 points and missing out completly. They've all but banked 2nd place but still have work to do to ensure a playoff. Their last 3 games is Czechs home, Germany home and Norway away.
  24. There's a full double header week scheduled for the weekend of the 25/26 March so could be a weekend match.
  25. Excellent performance, amazed at how good it was. We can defo win the 3 games if we continue to play like that. Brown is on booking away from a suspension, does anyone else think they missed a trick him not taking a late booking last night and missing Malta rather than a Slovenia/Slovakia?
