  1. Past hour
  2. I now have an official and unofficially sourced Home jersey. Here are the side my side comparisons. My expensive one is XXL....and fits....my XXXL cheap doesn't fit me. That is immediately apparent, as is the shade of yellow on the collar and the quality of the patch. Yyou can see a few variations, they appear about the same weight, and the materials feel the same with the exception of the webbed portion at the lower back half because the official one is see through, but to the eye they look the same. The other thing you will notice is the brightness of the patterned motif - you can see the unofficial one is not as bright, and the shape of the yellow piece under the arm pits is different. Now I will say if I was wearing my unofficial one, the only thing that would give it away is the patch I firmly believe everything else would go unnoticed .
  3. Not Scotland but injury related for an opponent - Shaqiri of Switzerland was subbed in last game for Chicago Fire and expected to be out for few weeks. Not the player he was but seems to still be a starter for Swiss.
  4. Today
  5. Yeah, he already looks like an athlete. Very developed for a 17 year old. Sounds like Rory Wilson is banging them in for Villa u21s as well. Only 18. Fingers crossed this is a case of waiting for a bus and 2 come at once.
  6. So you think that crisis was worse than this? Bearing in mind we have doubts over Armstrong, Gilmour and one or two others walking the injury tightrope plus Ferguson ruled out too.
  7. No because vast majority do not play wing-back where our problems are. And why tevisit players who have stated a burning drsire to represent England who are alteady in yheir squads?
  8. Think I might stop coming onto this thread, everytime I do so another key player gets injured. Might just close my eyes and think of the best.
  9. And Willie Donnachie was suspended for the Peru game.
  10. A good analogy that. And it was a long forseen issue that there was no-one coming through the SNP ranks with similar gravitas to succeed Salmond and Sturgeon. It's not a problem exclusive to the SNP, many governing parties around the world have struggled to replace big personality leaders. Humza is the SNP's Davie Moyes.
  11. In 1978 we lost three quarters of a world class defence. McGrain, Jardine and McQueen were 3 of the best defenders in the world at that time. Jardine did play in the second game, but he hadn't fully recovered from his injury.
  12. We'll likely be the first team to end on 4 points and still not get one of the best third placed spots. A new way for us to not reach the knockouts?
  13. This is the only positive. I wouldn't say I'd be happy with three points and non qualification but I won't see that as a failure either. I've only seen clips of him playing further back but I've read the reviews. Is your thinking Christie + Gilmour then with McTominay and McGinn further forward. So, McTominay and Christie pretty much swapping positions? It does seem so obvious that there must be a reason he didn't do it.
  14. Good to hear, you never know as Southampton will be in the play offs if he gets 3 or 4 appearances & scores a couple of goals he might have a outside chance of making the 26.
  15. If he doesn't try Christie in his best position & we go out at the group stages then I'm not proud to say it but I'll be one of them. For now I'm trying to stay positive about the team & manager so let's hope Tierney, Hickey & Armstrong all make it & Clarke picks a balanced squad.
  16. And, the VONC is in the Sottish Government. Of those bits of legislation that you mention, only two if them were ever voted on, and they were passed by the Scottish Parliament not the Scottish Government. A subtle but important difference.
  17. He is appropriately named, if nothing else. Seriously, I think he could spend all day walking up and down Princes Street and no one would recognise him, unless he bumps into someone from work. Apart from being in the wrong party Neil Gray is exactly the kind of person the British establishment had in mind for FM when they set up Holyrood: a bland, unassuming administrator. A Jack McConnell. For Westminster, having spent over a decade watching Salmond and pre-Idpol Sturgeon occupying one of their colonial institutions like a couple of hungry grizzlies prowling around some poor frightened Canadian family's back garden looking for breakfast, the prospect of a nice, compliant devolutionist with the charisma of cardboard must be a blessed relief. The sad thing is, whatever throbber tweeted that Kate Forbes' views are right-wing, neo-conservative and ultra-Christian was probably being sincere. Clueless beyond belief! 🤣 I have some reservations of aspects of Forbes' politics, such as her apparent support for freeports, but - and I know this is a low bar - she is in my view one of the brightest MSPs presently sitting in HR. Anecdotally she is respected amongst the electorate, including amongst people who don't normally vote SNP, and based on her record as Finance Minister and with the right people in place I think she would run government more capably than we are seeing at present. If she isn't planning on standing again either for family or personal health reasons then that is a shame, but understandable. If it is because of the dog's abuse she got last time, then that too is understandable, but it is also a sad reflection of the times we live in when some of the more capable amongst us are dissuaded from putting their heads above the parapet because of guttersnipe arseholes who have never done anything useful in their lives. We get the country we deserve, I suppose.
  18. OK, I've just looked at Sarwar's motion. Not a pleasant job but somebody has to do it. 🤣 It's just a vague one liner, so it could be construed to mean anything they want it to.
  19. There is always a heavy dose of hypocrisy in most things that politicians do. I would guess they would argue that the VONC isn't about those bits of legislation that they themselves voted for. I haven't seen the details of Sarwar's VONC motion, though.
  20. With a potential 26 man squad, and some key players out injured, we all expect the squad full of the best players available. Questions will be asked, and rightfully so when scrutinizing the big decisions. That, for me anyway wouldn't go as far as calling for his sack without thoughtful critique. I do expect Clarke to have a long think about his job post tournament, I hope we do well and its an easy decision to stay and for the majority of fans to want to keep him.
  21. He might have to select/ask all of them if this run of injuries continue!!!!!
  22. Okay, I'm still a little bit new to how Holyrood works and am happy to be corrected. But isn't there a degree of hypocrisy here for anyone who votes in favour of Sarwar's VONC motion, except the Tories. After all, didn't the Greens, Labour and Lib Dems all vote in favour of a lot of the contentious bills that the Scottish Government passed e.g. HCA, GRR, DRS, HPMAs etc.
  23. I still fully expect posts on here calling for Clarke's head for anything from not selecting MLS players Gauld and Morgan or likes of McBurnie and England brigade players. It will happen of that I am sure.
  24. At least we're not going to get carried away on a wave of completely unrealistic expectations.
  25. This is definitely the worst injury crisis we have had going into a major tournament (World Cup or Euros). Unbelievable how many key players we have been deprived of and are carrying knocks.
  26. If it does turn out that Regan votes to bale out Humza, then there will be no doubt in my mind, that it was all set up before yesterday's announcement. Still very risky though, as it would only need one SNP MSP to be "off sick" or one of them to "do a Kezia" and forget to press the button. My prediction is that Humza will go. Sarwar's VONC will not pass, and SNP continue in Government. SNP elect a new Leader. Stephen Flynn wins and Shona Robison does the Scottish Parliament stuff until Flynn can become an MSP.
  27. I'd settle for a fortnight right now. 🤣
