stephend5587
After last nights embarrassment I feel our game is all but doomed from here on in. This was a real chance to galvanise the whole country and start getting Scottish football (along with other things) on the way up. Club football has been on the downward spiral for years but over the past 18 months or so WGS has managed to give us some hope through the national team but after last nights result I cant help but feel this could be the final nail in the coffin of the game as we know it. For the first time in my life I feel slightly ashamed to be Scottish today!
Goozay
After 1979 we qualified for 3 World Cups on the bounce. Wee Gordy can still take us to France.
Andy North Croy
Stephen, I can see where you're coming from, but let the 55% be ashamed...it was they who sold their country to Westminster. And we thought Thatcher fu*ked up Scotland................

harrystarfish
Westminster is going to make sure there's never a referendum again. How do they do this? Simple, by incorporating the scottish leagues in the english pyramid system. You think this is only football and doesn't matter in a larger political picture? Nonsense, they know that scotland lives and breathes for football. But going for the national team would be pure folly. So they'll go for the clubs first, they'll give what OF fans have wanted for years, acceptance into the english leagues. And both clubs and fans will embrace the offer with open arms after years of poverty, one-sided games and reducing European reputation. And once that happens, there's no going back. Any future independence debate would also be proposing a return to the shitey days of poor club football from 2014 where 1 team wins everything and everyone else competes with english League 2 clubs for players. Mark my words - by 2017 there will be scottish clubs playing in the english league, planned and pushed for by Downing St.

wellyman
Always been said - sport [football] & politics should not be mixed and that should apply more today than ever before, we support the team through thick and thin and stand together as one. 1320lichtie
Can't bring myself to go to the England game now. Am I going to that. That sounds like hell. My auntie in England's been getting ripped stinking by old wifies in work could you imagine the humiliation at the England game? Her response '1st thing they said was cowards, Scotland cant leave england they need us to support them, and they said try singing flower of Scotland again and you will be a laughing stock. Nothing will change, its very sad, just a little cross and Scotland could have been a rich little country (' To the 55 you are a self serving greedy joke.
