And So The Backlash Against Giving The Jocks More Pocket Money Begins..

Recommended Posts

After such a frenetic few weeks it's understandable to want answers immediately but this business is going to take months and move at a snail's pace.

The conference season is just beginning and Westminster isn't sitting again until mid October.

I'm prepared to give them time to sort this out properly but if the plans fall short or worse then the backlash at the 2015 GE will be even greater than it's going to be already...

No, they promised " faster, safer, better" powers. Yes Scotland spoke about getting to work as soon as a yes result came in, I expect a similar time plan, otherwise it's hardly faster.

And a parliamentary motion has been tabled. Any country in which a government could push through radical changes to domestic policy (and with huge constitutional implications) without going through the legislative process would be an arbitrary dictatorship.

The 'vow' was a panic measure brought about by that yougov poll, but that doesn't mean that they will renege on it. It'll make the constitutional situation even more farcical, but it requires time and thought - rushed legislation is poor legislation.

Donny, couldn't give a flying one about the constitutional problems - that is their problem.

We are way past the "do it by the rules" shit. They just made it up as they went along so fukk them if they cannot deliver on time.

Their problem not ours. (not sure you fully appreciate the anger here).

The anger's clear, and it's also blinding.
