  1. The Aeropress is great. got one and use it regularly. I've also got a gaggia classic and an iberital MC2 grinder which is by all accounts the best combination for reasonable espresso without spending silly money (although even this will set you back a few hundred). Been using it twice a day for the last 5 years or so though so its been well worth it. A bit more of a faff than straight bean to cup but if you know what you are doing then it probably makes a better drink. I realise neither of these are bean to cup solutions but i've no idea on that side of things.
  2. Is it not just the case that they have loads of money and therefore can pay the £100k fine or whatever UEFA imposes whereas the Scottish clubs or any other small nation without vast TV riches don't have that luxury?
  3. If he were Scottish he would probably have got a few caps and then fell out with the SFA/The manager and ended up exiled for years. Seems the type. We'd then have had countless threads on here bemoaning the situation.
  4. Everything that's wrong with Scottish football.
  5. If people will pay it then they will. And people will pay it. Sky used to have all the games so you only needed one subscription. Now you need 2 and so it costs twice the price.
  6. According to twitter the hotel have cancelled the EGM booking due to "threat of "significant disruption to guests" caused by calls to hotel & media reporting". Not a massive surprise tbf. Rangers claim meeting will still go ahead in London at an alternative location.
  7. Deal didn't get done in time, he's still at West Brom.
  8. Haha bet the locals can't wait for this: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-supporters-plan-the-biggest-5117956
  9. Haha. I remember they were questioned about this a few months ago and said it was too expensive and not necessary. Glad they have finally seen sense after every other country in the world started using it first.
  10. 90 was before my time but surely Levein takes that accolade?
  11. Not sure about that. Is the Real Madrid B team a worse level than the SPL? I'd give him a shot in a friendly (not yet like but hopefully at some point)
  12. It got kind of lost in all the referendum buzz but by all accounts Gordon had an absolute stormer for Celtic on Thursday night. Long may it continue.
  13. Jack Straw calling for laws to be enacted to prevent another referendum. Didn't take long... http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/opinion/columnists/article4212654.ece
  14. The decent Rangers fans (of whom there are many) really need to mobilise and get this nonsense out of their club.
  15. Absolutely. The Yes sticker is still on the car and its not coming off any time soon. Lets keep at it folks.
  16. I have little doubt we will be here again in my lifetime (I'm 26). The Catalans will probably go first, and hopefully answer some of the questions regarding EU membership etc.
  17. Missed this tonight. Is there another one tomorrow or anything else being organised elsewhere since its the day before poll?
  18. This is only applicable to earnings in the UK which you have paid UK tax on though so not sure how many people this would actually apply to in practice. Better explanation here: https://www.nautilusint.org/Campaigns/pages/SED%20change%20of%20practice.aspx
  19. He is referring to the seafarer's earnings deductions scheme. Basically if you work on a ship and spend more than 183 days out of the country then you can claim back your income tax. I also work on ships and am eligible for this. Short answer is we don't know what future Scottish governments will do with this particular tax break or the general tax system. We might keep it (many other countries have similar systems for seafarers), they might get rid of it. I can understand people in this situation voting no or abstaining because loosing this tax break could make quite a dent in their pay packet. I'm still voting yes though. The problem you've got is that the amount of people who qualify for the SED scheme is quite small in the grand scheme of things so getting a definite commitment regarding it pre referendum (or pre election in any normal election) is pretty difficult, because it is not a priority for most people.
  20. Yeah one of my mates saw this happening. Would like clarification from the SFA on the reasoning behind this. Having said that they didn't do a very good job. Loads of pro yes stuff in the ground.
  21. Literally don't understand how people can still be undecided. It's not like this was sprung on us last week. We've known this was coming for the last 2 years and there is plenty information out there for those that can be arsed to research it.
