ST#7 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Have been trying to look back and find info on a proposed charter for this trip / all the qualifiers. Sorry if this is picked up elsewhere but does anyone know if there will be such an option? I think it was the company that arranged a charter for the Poland friendly and not Passport Travel who I know are no longer on the go. Thanks for any help.
Edinburghmanunited Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 DT sports leisure and travel said they were doing charters to all the games with the exception of England but haven't heard anything recently from them.
DoonTheSlope Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Done the Poland friendly charter and they said that they would be running charters to all the qualifiers and in the end they didn't do any. I emailed them enquiring about the Poland qualifier and they said that with the rise of cheap airlines that it wasn't worth it from a business point of view
Robroysboy Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Would have been interested bit like many others have already booked. So they have missed their window of opportunity. If we had qualified for France, this would have been more attractive for two reasons. 1. The profile and support of the team would have taken a massive lift. 2. The number of holidays used up for euro 2016 would mean in and out charters would be required unless you were retired or self employed

Must be worth it from a business point of view to continue offering trips to England matches though!! They dropped us like a hot tattie almost as soon as they took over the business from Jimmy and Eddie at Passport travel!

Simple numbers game- Scotland games not financially viable as by the time they announce their flights every has already booked up. It's a shame as I would like to do as many in and out games as possible
bonzo Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Done a few charters over the years but I just feel you don't get much time for a look around
ST#7 Posted January 15, 2016 Author Posted January 15, 2016 Thanks guys appreciate the replies. I'm restricted with time so a one or two day trip straight home after the game would be ideal.

Same here but there have been very few charters announced and by the time charters are announced all cheap flights have gone. Have started flying in match day for some trips, but only if it arrives way before kick-off ( alot easier for midweek night games) and is prefferably direct. In the past have always tried to make the night before party, but due to the afore mentioned time restictions and I don't miss the hangover.
