wanderer
As long as transferring through (ie you check in at London and get your through ticket there) then no visa required and would be no different than transferring through Heathrow with BA or Schipol with KLM
ParisInAKilt
I'm on the same flight but Sunday morning.

Would i have to go through security again etc in russia sorry not used to all the inns and outs of this game yet will pick it up in time

If it is Areoflot from London and then to Tbilisi (though if Skyscanner are bring it up, then its most likely partner airlines) then you check in at London and get your onward flight ticket for Moscow to Tbilisi. If this is the case when you land you just go straight to the transfer gate and on to your next flight. No need for a visa as you are effectively not going past passport control into Russia. braveheart_lynch
The advice I was told was that if you are landing and taking off from the same terminal and not leaving that terminal, only then you will not require a Visa.
