Toepoke
To be fair del Potro did a pretty good job at Wimbledon in 2013. That's right. Classic semi...
Toepoke
Anyway imagine how gutting it would be if Andy had overcome Djokovic, only to lose to Wawrinka...
Geeman
When watching this yesterday couldn't help but think, "that'll be Djokovic even more fired up for Wimbers giving Andy an even bigger obstacle in his path!" Oh we'll always liked Stan, even if his get up did look like it came from Timmy Mallet's summer wardrobe

Oh we'll always liked Stan, even if his get up did look like it came from Timmy Mallet's summer wardrobe Yes I did think that myself but it could work another way. It could leave Novak feeling deflated and confidence dented. As for Stan superb performance yesterday but those shorts.........eeeek. Looks like they came from Primark's range of boxer shorts hand woven from a 1970's retro table cloth.
biffer
Rankings 1 Djokovic 13845 2 Federer 9415 3 Murray 7040 4 Wawrinka 5835 Points to defend in the rest of 2016 Djokovic 6260 Federer 6200 Murray 2730 Wawrinka 1580 I can see both Murray and Wawrinka catching Federer before very long Edit - Nadal 10th with 2930, but only defending 370 points for the rest of the year. Caledonian Craig
I actually think there is quite a strong chance that Murray will overtake Federer after the grass court season. Murray has not many points to defend at Queens Club and at Wimbledon he only got to the QF's last year so could make up many points. Federer on the other hand reached the Wimbledon Final so will need to at least match that if he is not to drop points. In short at Murray could pick up 1640 points more if he won Wimbledon whilst if Federer loses in the semis he'd lose 480 points so it would then be very close for the No.2 slot. min
Nadal wins in Stuttgart - his first grass court title in five years - definitely hope Murray can avoid him in the last 16 (or even the QF) at Wimbledon. Also a really strong field at Queen's this week - a benefit of the calendar alterations and the upgrade to 500 status.

Caledonian Craig
Andy beats Lu in straight sets. Not his best but adequate. Looked like he was coughing a lot so perhaps still not over the virus yet.

Caledonian Craig
A straight sets win for Andy over Verdasco and he goes through to the QFs where he will play Gilles Muller who beat Dimitrov today. If Andy is in any semblance of form he will win Queens now for the 4th time.
min
It looks like Raonic v Simon is heading to a deciding set, so Murray should be on court about 5ish.
Caledonian Craig
A tricky QF for Murray against Gilles Muller. The Luxembourg player was really playing superb and took the first set 6-3. Serving big, volleying well and hitting big ground strokes. Murray dug in and put his foot down in the second set tie breaker to take that. They are into the third set and Murray has an early break in the set so looking good for Murray now.
min
Agree. A good test for Murray, with Muller having a great first two sets. Murray stepped up a gear when required and is now serving for the match.

Caledonian Craig
Murray wins in three sets and looks likely he will face John Isner is the SF tomorrow. Maybe not. Viktor Troicki took the first set on a tie break and leads 1-0 in the second set.

min
Glad Troicki came through that match. Really can't stand watching Isner play - very limited mobility, but with a freakish serve - especially on grass. Meanwhile, Federer eases through to the semis in Halle. He wont be far away, again, at Wimbledon.
min
Federer through to the final in Germany. No play yet in London and looking at the forecast, could be a stop start day.
min
An interesting day ahead, which could test Murray's fitness to the max. Potentially 5.5 sets to play against 2 opponents if he is to lift the title. The semi resumes at 11am with a break point to Andy. The final is scheduled for 2.25pm, not giving much recovery time to whoever gets through.

min
Superb match from Andy - so much more relaxed when his first serve is working well. 4th title at Queen's, 500 ranking points and 380,000 euros. Not bad for a weeks work!
