Hospitality

Recommended Posts

In what to appears to have been some now well placed foresight and luck i bought a couple of hospitality tickets for Scotland's first game. Now of course this is the opener.

Was wondering if anyone had a steer on dress codes for hospitality?

Kilt is national dress so surely this will be fine? May elect not to paint a saltire on my face however........

What do you get at hospitality? What’s the agenda etc? Any free gifts? What was the cost?

Did you get to buy it before you knew who we were playing? If so that’s a result as I can imagine the price trebled after the draw.

I do like a bit of hospitality.

Cat 1 seats, free bar, food and access 3 hours before. Offset by a lack of atmosphere i guess but a guaranteed ticket which is what we were wanting. Was around £1,000 ppn with current ex rate. The Cat 1 tickets on the resale were around £500 anyhow and like hens teeth.

I bought before Scotland had qualified as was refundable if they didn't quality so cost aside didn't really seem to be any downside and i was sure i would be just short of points to get through the TASC (only have 10).

I think kilt and Scotland top will be ok, its a neutral friendly area - hopefully?!?!

A grand a skull with free bar and food for 3 hours is a bargain in comparison for €900 for a match ticket alone that was being sold in the ballots

Saltire ghillie shirt and kilt should suffice

4 of us also got hospitality for all 3 games, haven’t been a travel club member for 15 years, so no chance of tickets unless we paid a fortune to a ticket website.

So like yourself we bought ours before we qualified with the “Follow Your Team” option. ( Full refund if we never made it ).

You forgot the free food and drink access for 90 minutes after the games as well 😂, I fully intend to get my moneys worth.

Great to hear a few other troops have gone for the hospitality option. Have got hospitality tickets for the three group games.  I'll be there on my Jack Jones but reckon a kilted Scotsman with a few beers in him should be able to make friends...!

See you in a bit under 5 weeks!

Andy

German hospitality areas don't have dress codes like you might find in Britain. During league matches, you are definitely allowed to wear team shirts and anything else you like, with the exception of anything banned in the general stadium rules (e.g., shirts with right-wing slogans and symbols).

The tournament hospitality caterer will be Do & Co of Salzburg, who also have the contracts for Bayern Munich hospitality and a few international events such as the F1 Paddock Club at (almost) every GP. Expect top class food, drink and service. Unless UEFA makes any big changes, expect free flowing refills for as long as you can handle them. In German league play they usually also serve you any drink into a soft plastic cup to take out into the stands, but no idea whether UEFA will have that going on as well.

Assuming you have the Club package:

- Munich: Hard to say what area you'll be in. They have almost no shared spaces with a view of the pitch, and some lounges require a bit of a circuitous route from the stands (for example, Bayern have a club that gives you lower deck seats, but requires you to go across the concourse, through a ticket check, then up a staircase - involves some lines). All of the areas are constantly modernized and really nicely designed though, assuming they haven't repurposed any areas that aren't usually VIP clubs (for example, Bayern have two large bars in spaces at each end - wouldn't put it past UEFA to sell those as hospitality, though given the packages aren't sold out I don't know why they'd need to)

- Cologne: Actually one of the nicest VIP areas design-wise, for Bundesliga games you can go all the way around the stadium as the main business offering is all on one level. Should be easy access from the stands as well unless they make configuration changes for the EURO

- Stuttgart: Brand new main stand, it was already spacious luxurious before but no idea what the range of areas is now. If you're lucky and they leave the feature in, you might get access to the area that provides a view into the players' tunnel

If you have an assigned table, you'll probably have an assigned server. Feel free to tip that person a few Euros, they don't get that nearly often enough and it's usually a job being done by high schoolers, students and other young folks. For Bayern games, there's buses that bring people in to do the job from Austria (not that Austria is poor, but the catchment area for that job is that big - travel time unpaid of course). My wife lived near the Allianz Arena in school and did the job for a few years, she still remembers the friendly tippers and shudders at the memory of UEFA delegates outstaying their welcomes after late UCL matches.

Should be a fantastic time!

Wife and I and one of my mates are also doing hospitality for the 3 group games , bought the club package as soon as qualification was confirmed, not enough points for me through the supporters club these days so no chance of getting tickets, absolutely cannot wait, arrive in Munich on the 11th, see yous there😁
