  1. Bad communication from the SFA, game is advertised on the Johan Cruyff website https://www.johancruijffarena.nl/oranje/
  2. This is going to be my first tournament attending watching Scotland and first ever tournament in general, never fancied going to a tournament without Scotland competing, had the chance to go to 2006 and 2010 World Cup games but said no, I'll be turning 45 in January, I've always supported the national team with a passion, the 1st tournament I can remember watching was Mexico 86 but only vaguely, Italia 90 was the first one I can really remember, by the time France 98 came round my mates and I had just turned 19, the feeling watching us in the opening game was unbelievable, at that time none of us had any intention to go to France as we couldn't afford to travel so we settled for watching the opener v Brazil in one of the boys house when his mum and dad were away on holiday, I don't get to attend as many games as I'd like to these days as I live and work overseas but got tickets for the 3 group games, it's going to be surreal watching us in the opener v Germany and I cannot wait
  3. I was in Cologne about 15 years ago on the way to Nature One techno festival near Koblenz, really enjoyed Cologne, stayed near Barbarossaplatz back then, was nice, this time staying in Ruby Ella Hotel at Hohenzollernring, Neustadt Nord, seems to be plenty of bars close by 🍻
  4. Booked 2 first class tickets from Munich to Cologne on the 15th of June 12.47 service, less than Β£100, can't complain with that, also got the ticket emailed to me no problem
  5. The best and most detailed travel route I've seen so far, marvelous 😁
  6. Staying 4 nights in the Rathaus Area of Stuttgart🍺
  7. Munich, 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof
  8. Flying from Istanbul to Munich on 11th Booked up hotels Saturday night, prices weren't too bad 4 nights Munich 5 nights Cologne 4 nights Stuttgart Fly from Stuttgart back to Istanbul on the 24th, booked changeable flight for when we get past the group stages 😁🀞
  9. Fly into Munich from Istanbul on the 11th of June 🍻
  10. Booked apartments for the group stages in Nurnberg, Essen and Hannover, all refundable the locations don't suit our group draw
  11. Looks like 2nd of December is the date to wait until you can try for ticket's
  12. Had a look for tickets on the Uefa site just now as well, pointless doing anything until the tournament draw is made, no follow my team option as far as I can see either, only country who can really register for tickets at the moment is Germany, they have the option to select the 3 group games they will be involved in
  13. I'm absolutely lost for words, unbelievable result, the team never stopped going, fantastic
  14. Thanks for the suggestions Todd and Ally, Crown and Lion Pub looks like a good option😁
  15. Evening all, In Dubai for a couple of months for work, anyone got any suggestions for watching the Georgia game on Tuesday? I'm sure I saw a Dubai Tartan Army flag somewhere on one of the trips...... πŸ™ƒ Cheers
  16. I don't get to many away games these days as I work overseas on a rotational basis and always seem to miss out on the games, think I'll skip the Ireland away trip and fly over to Yerevan after the Ukraine game, was looking at the 9th of June, Lufthansa, Glasgow - Frankfurt - Yerevan, easiest way which I can see Was on holiday in Armenia in September, was fantastic, Yerevan was cheap as chips, out with the city even cheaper, loads of good bars and restaurants in Yerevan, similar feel to Tbilisi, loved the 2 trips to Georgia (except for the game's) so looking forward to this one
  17. I bought tickets through Uefa for the 4 games at Hampden, at the moment I've been notified that my tickets for our game v Croatia and the last 16 game have been cancelled, I'm sure they'll cancel the one I have for the Czech game as well and I'll end up with only a ticket for Croatia v Czechs..... Ha ha, gutted ☹️
  18. That's my tickets arrived in the post this morning, happy day's πŸ˜€
  19. Anyone actually received their tickets in the post yet? Thought they'd have been out by now
  20. I've spent the last 3 winters in Kazakhstan, it's definitely a different type of cold than back home, its very dry indeed, -26 is the lowest I've seen the temperature drop to although I remember that day they said with the wind chill it felt like -36..... crazy I've got a Kazakh girlfriend, she finds +6 degrees on a lovely November's day in Scotland colder than -15 in Kazakhstan!πŸ˜‚ Everyone will be fine in March in Astana πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. Recommend trying to organize an airport transfer with your hotel of choice for the trip, not been to Astana but in Atyrau airport if you try to get a taxi yourself from the driver's hanging about they always ask for 4 or 5 times the normal rate
  22. Aeroflot are a good bet for people travelling from Scotland, flights via London then Moscow are roughly 600 quid, going through Moscow Sheremetyevo airport is easy enough and if you travel all the way with Aeroflot you wouldnt need to pick up your bags to re-check in so no visa required Air Astana are a decent airline, if you are not bothered about going to the San Marino game you can get flights quite cheap at the moment, as an example on Sky Scanner just now, flights going Glasgow - London - Astana with BA & Air Astana on the 19th of March and returning on Saturday the 23rd are coming in around 480 quid Anyone thinking of doing the double header against Kazakhstan and San Marino, try a multi-stop option flight with Aeroflot, as an example flights on Sky Scanner from Glasgow - London - Moscow - Astana departing on the 19th of March then Astana - Moscow - Venice on Saturday the 23rd currently comes in around 560 quid Getting back to Scotland from Italy could get an Easy Jet or BA for less than 100 quid
  23. I mentioned on the thread that got deleted yesterday that I've been working in Atyrau Kazakhstan since 2015 Just noticing our game in Kazakhstan next March falls on the Kazakh National Holiday called Nauryz, see below https://www.officeholidays.com/countries/kazakhstan/nauryz.php This is the most important holiday In Kazakhstan, i'd imagine flights prices will go up as there will be a lot of Kazakhs travelling back home to make it for this holiday, best to book flights as soon as the venue is announced before they get too expensive
