Drew 0-0 with Bulgaria in their first qualifying game.  Fairly even match which we probably edged but couldn't argue with the score.  Workmanlike performances from nearly all Scots on show with our No.10 (Watson) probably the pick of the bunch.  For those harbouring high hopes of Ryan One, I'm afraid he was pretty poor and hooked at half time.  Rory Wilson also very quiet.

Ryan One’s basic control was woeful. Similar to Ollie Burke. Saying that his replacement Sharpe from Man U was equally as bad. Defence and midfield all looked fairly comfortable on the ball and knocked it around well but not enough in final third

One took a bit of an ankle knock early in the first half, likely the reason for his control issues and definitely the reason he came off.

I thought Dylan Reid (14) was pretty good in the middle and Mcarthur (5) was also pretty good at centre back. I was disappointed in Bailey Rice (8) and Wilson (9) both of whom I have very high hopes for. Both still 17 I think so potentially a couple of years younger than some of the others, although I have no real idea about the Bulgarian picks.

They all struggled with basic control tbh but the pitch was like a tattie field and it was very windy so I’ll reserve judgement for now.
