GTR. Was going to go to Bray on Friday afternoon with wife & 9 year old. Worth going to ? Nice to get out the city for a bit. Went to Howth last time.

Was going to go & see Book of Kells. Worth going & booking in advance ?

TBH ...Bray is the typical seaside town - I doubt its anything that you havent seen before

If ye were looking to get out of the city for the Day --- then maybe Consider Glendalough ( just south of Bray) - its a massive tourist destination - its a really scenic and historical destination

You can get a bus from Dublin and its a great day trip

Book of Kells is worth booking in advance - held in a pretty impressive library

Left it late to book accomodation.

Does anyone have experience of travelling from Saggart to the City Centre?

Booked the Citywest in the hope that having a LUAS stop nearby is gonna help!

LUAS will be handy from there but will take about an hour to the city centre. Not sure when last one is at night and taxi prob 25-30 euro.

Nice hotel too.
