Khana Lagur
Enjoyed my time in Hong Kong and always found the people to have a great spirit. Hope they get what they're after.
exile
Brave protestors out on the street or dangerous nationalists laying seige to HK instiutions? Well, according to some media, they are brave protestors fighting for democracy, and the British Govt and BBC have made sympathetic noises And I am sure I heard a BBC report noting that those amazing scenes of the people on the streets were not being shown on ('mainland') Chinese TV. Hmmm... Meanwhile we hear 'China's state media is already trying to discredit the students' (from The Telegraph, thanks...) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/11134755/Hong-Kong-crisis-exposes-impossible-contradiction-of-Chinas-economic-growth.html And yet another angle.. warnings that all this democracy protest won't be good for business... http://www.veooz.com/photos/pHXHyMA.html http://uk.reuters.com/video/2014/10/03/hong-kong-protest-stalemate-piles-risk-o?videoId=346442567&videoChannel=78&channelName=Business

exile
Familiar stuff eh? Oh yeah, and also: suddenly 'rude, angry' pro-government supporters turn up and disrupt the original demo http://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2014/oct/03/hong-kong-protesters-clash-streets-video (not so familiar, the reporter is putting the arguments of the protestors!)
