  1. Sky sports reporting 9pm for Peru game and 2am for Mexico game (both UK times)
  2. McBurnie nets again. Sounds like he had a very good game and could have had 3 or 4
  3. Are they still in the running for promotion,?
  4. How many international sides sport 11 top-end players? Really just the big boys (Germany, France, Argentina, Brazil etc). Northern Ireland and Wales are two prime examples of teams making do with what they have and doing pretty well. A couple of top class players, a mix of journeymen and a few good youngsters should be enough to get us to a tourney. It all comes down to the organisation and the management.
  5. Good on him for a good showing and Goal tonight but he's never a lone striker. Him roving as a no 10 with Griffiths as no 9 tho... Phwoar!
  6. I liked that he was in the middle and the two young lads seemed to take direction from him. Shame he screwed the penalty and nearly threw a goal in
  7. What are these games - Euro championship qualifiers or what?
  8. We definitely need a goalscoring go-to man for times like this when Griffiths is out. Hoping McBurnie will be one of these guys who just clicks with international football. Be good if we could get a midfielder on a goalscoring run too.
  9. Just wait for the return flight headlines: "Booze and burger fueled flight from hell!!!"
  10. Robertson would be a good 'lead by example' captain. McGinn would be a more old school shouty engineroom skipper. Other than that it would probably be Hanley or Alan McGregor.
  11. Lindsay or souttar in as a replacement hopefully
  12. If Tierney is out injured I'mhoping we'll see souttar or Lindsay called in.
  13. What has happened to Steven Fletcher? I know hes nearly finished and was never that great for us anyway, but i cant even remember the last time i saw his name on Sheff Weds' teamsheet. He'd be a reasonable pick for now until we find a few more options
  14. Superb - more money for beers and snacks
  15. People seem to forget that it was a Hanley-Martin partnership that helped steady us for a run of a dozen games or so (starting with the away win over Croatia). He looked raw but good then - it was clearly during his Newcastle torpor that his Scotland form turned so poor. He's back playing regularly and very well, so for me he should be a first pick.
  16. Definitely not giving up - just a bit odd that he hasnt even had a sniff at the first team even when they've been well short in his position. I'm hoping Rodgers us letting him build himself up physically this season with an eye on next season, but i fear that's blind optimism. Also hope that if/when he breaks through its as a forward and not converted into a midfielder or the like. Disappointing that Calvin Miller - once rated as a potentially top fwd - has been shunted to left back, and still hasnt really broken thru in that position.
  17. Whats happening with Jack Aitchison? He seems to be really highly thought if but as farvas im aware he hasnt had a lookin for Celtic this season - not even on the bench even in the few diddy spfl games when all their strikers were injured and they were playing Sinclair as an emergency forward.
